If you won't trust me with your product, then I won't trust you with my money.
Haha, this is good. Maybe you should offer to buy their DRM books if you get to dictate how they spend your money after the transaction. :)

I refuse to buy anything from DTRPG until they significantly change their policies, and prices come to something approaching reasonable. I'm sticking with rpgnow.

Judging by the poll, Malhavoc is about to lose a lot of money... seeing as how a lot of ENWorld regulars buy PDF products (that's my impression, at least).

I've bought PDFs before, but White Wolf would not accept my credit card in their store (claiming they've had too much fraudulent transactions from my country), and I have no reason to believe this new PDF store will be any different. Further, anything that hinders my PDF usage (copy restrictions, for example) virtually ensures that I won't buy the product.

Sorry, Monte.

I voted no on the and will refuse to buy anything from them. This includes Pdf's and print products. heard from my group which is only 3 people mind you and they refuse also.

Sorry White Wolf and Monte and everyone else who is using this DRM, you just 4 customers for good.

Nope. While I have no problem buying PDFs, the rediculous prices and untrustworthy copy protection they use would pretty much guarantee I would never, ever shop there.

I buy all my books in print, then I snag a digital copy from a p2p client. That gives me at least some insurance that I will still have my books if something happens to my print copies.

I will never buy a product burdened with DRM. Period. I view the actions of these companies (Malhavoc, FDP, SS) as anti-customer and will respond in kind.

Purchasing? Probably not... I made a point of complaining loudly when Games Mechanics locked cut and paste on Swords of our Fathers, and this is an order of magnitude worse.

Will I be signing up with them and abusing the freebies? Yes, of course. That is, if I can get their site to load.

And for the love of Bob, someone please make them redesign their site. It's just terrible. really - one of the worst commercial designs I have ever seen. And that is discounting the technical issues that they are obviously suffering from.

:(

I already did. In fact, the first time I've ever purchased a pdf was from them today. I experienced my first frustration getting the pdfs to another computer, but I think it's my fault, so I'll try again. Whether I can do that easily or not will determine if I buy more. I don't mind the DRM, though if my portable has to be online each time I put one of the PDFs on there, I'll be pissed. I don't mind once to get authorized through Adobe Reader, but each time will be too annoying.

I buy PDFs with some regularity (bought a couple from Malhavoc, even) but for me copying and pasting and portability are king. I don't upload PDFs to any sort of file sharing, and I don't download any from anywhere other than where I bought it, and that practice isn't going to change.

I take copyright seriously. But I'm not very interested in the degree of usability in these products.

I said no and it doesn't even have anything to do with DRM.

Little things have a way of indicating bigger things. For instance, when I go to click on Create an Account, I'm immediately prompted on whether or not I want to display the nonsecure items. Of course I'll choose no. This is after all, where they are collecting personal information.

What's missing? Well, all the images. Okay, that's not really a big deal. I can register without seeing pretty little images. Why are the images missing? Because they are referenced using HTTP instead of HTTPS. They're images, right? Well, yes, but if these guys missed the HTTPS on the images, did they miss it anywhere else? May seem a bit nit-picky, but you never can tell these days. Perhaps this is a sign of a bigger problem. Missing something as simple as this, which is easily tested, makes me leary. What else did they miss?

I'm probably just paranoid. But I'd rather be paranoid than burned. After all, if Guess Jeans can make a big goof and get a huge fine from the FCC, these guys can goof, too.
