There is alot that can be done with a copromancer! It would be a really great addition, like a cousin to the necromancer for that kind of flavor.

Magic specifically meant for purifying and holiness would counter them I suppose the way positive and negative energy combat one another. It would depend on the power of the purification magic. A 9th level spell like Sphincters of the Apocalypse would take a very powerful holy spell to counter, since it summons 4 fecal pit fiends.

But, more seriously, why would any selfrespecting wizard take the time needed to summon sphincters of the apocalypse, if there are so much, cleaner ways of achieving the same goal?
