OOC: I guess you're handling rolls and things, correct?

Yup.

Speaking of which, initiative is...

Yuri: 20
Ashrem: 19 <Ashrem's Dex is higher than Sirsei's>
Sirsei: 19
Fleeing Trolloc 1: 17
Pedron: 15
Fighting Trolloc: 11
Lord Tomas: 8
Fleeing Trolloc 2: 7
Jain: 6
Shalimar: 3

<I'll run through the first round or two of combat once I've got actions for everyone>

<I'm going to assume that Pedron at least gets his five foot step. Further, I assumed that Pedron knows that this thing fully intends to attack. I'm not sure whether it requires a sense motive or not.>

It doesn't. It seems pretty clear that the Trolloc means to attack anything close to it, and you already are.

<Sorry; I had to make sure Pedron didn't have a chance to run>

Round 1 - Ashrem

Sword in hand, Ash moved toward the beast. He quickly dodged to the side in hopes of keeping the beast's curved blade out of range. Seeing a man unsheath two daggers, he positioned himself in such a way as to pin the trolloc between them. Watching to be sure another of the creatures weren't coming for him, he lashed out with his blade hoping to sheath his steal in the flanked trollocs back.

Yuri called this thing a trolloc. So they are real...

He was emotionless. He floated in darkness where only he, the man, and the creature between them existed. He wasn't afraid, though a small voice said that he should be.

[OOC: Ash moves into a flanking position if possible. If doing so would provoke an Attack of Opportunity or would put him within 10 feet of another Trolloc, he moves to a safe position where both he and Jain can fight the same one.]

Pedron

Light, with all these heroes rushing in, I may not get a clear throw, Pedron thinks.

<Given the initiatives involved, then by Pedron's turn, Yuri attacks, Ash attacks, and, oh yes, Sirsei sets it on fire. In any case, if neither of them arrive by Pedron's turn, he'll try to stick with the original plan: step back, then throw. Else, he'll press the attack from where he is--as long as he can do so without getting burnt. If it doesn't look like he can do that, back to the original plan. With any luck, it'll be dead before it gets a chance to strike.>

Jain Hadlin

look at all the flamin heroes charging that trolloc, well hopfully they know what they're up against! I think i better keep a cool head and try to get as many peopl out of here as i can.

[ooc: jains going near last so i guess he'll leave combat to others and try to usher as many people out of harms way as possible]

the creator only knows what these bloody girls are going to do with thier power, i sure hope someone saves the little guy under the tree.

"Shalimar, can you do anything to help move these people away from the fight?"

OOC: I stand with the above actions of embracing and creating the light weave in the shed, to A) see whats going on in there, B)ruin anyone in the sheds night vision

"Jain, I am in the middle of something the trolloc surely wont get past the four of you to hurt anyone" she says between clenched teeth.

Noble Intentions

"Trollocs? But those are just Myths!" Lord Tomas exclaims doubtfully, staring at the wretched beasts. What is in the ale I've been drinking? Lord Tomas stands and draws his finely polished Longsword and speaks clearly and confidently. "Women and Children to the rear! Men with weapons, Forward the Attack!"

Lord Tomas bravely walks foward to attack a trolloc if needed... What is that thing? I wasn't t-trained to h-handle something like this...

[ooc: No shield...it's probably in my room, so AC 13. Tomas will move forward to engage the first trolloc if needed, or if it's killed, he'll slash at one of the running trollocs (most likely the second one with the initiative 7 roll.]

[ooc: damn...mega posting while I'm a work. sheesh.]

Sersei and Shalimar felt the other embrace saidar; to anyone who did not know they could channel, the sight of two young women -- little more than girls -- staring down a trolloc would have seemed crazy, if not suicidal. They weren't Aiel.

Ashrem felt goose bumps run down his sleeve. No surprise, that. He was confident, but that thing was huge.

In an instant, Yuri had crossed the room to meet the Trolloc. His sword flashed, nicking the creature through chinks in its armor. Perhaps not the cleanest strike, but he had drawn blood <4 points of damage>.

Ashrem moved to flank the beast, his Ebou Dari rapier extended. But the thing moved surprisingly well for something its size, and was not able to score a hit.

A small flame appeared at the Trolloc's feet, but the Trolloc managed to step out of the worst of it <1 point of damage>. That flame had come out of nowhere. Someone was using the One Power.

Behind the trolloc that blocked the hole in the wall, one of the beasts turned and ran, carrying something over its shoulder.

Pedron's knife had flown out of his hand before he truly noticed the others, but it did not fly true, crashing against the wall. With any luck, the Trolloc would concentrate on the Borderlander.

It did; the massive, scythe-like sword came very near to striking Yuri before a hasty parry blocked the attack. Yuri might not be a grizzled veteran of fighting along the blightborder, but he was no stranger to fighting trollocs. He knew how much that sword would hurt if it managed to connect, and he wanted no part of that.

Lord Tomas added a third blade to face the creature, this one striking more cleanly than his new-found friends' blades had <8 points of damage>. All he had was precision; Tomoas would hardly admit he was not all that strong, but he knew it was true. Still, it seemed he had been lucky. Trollocs were children's tales, he'd thought, but this children's tale didn't seem to believe it.

The third trolloc broke into a run at that, leaving the injured trolloc to hold the door.

The remaining Trolloc recoiled when a globe of light appeared right by it, out of nowhere. Two people channeling? Light, it had better be the women, but even so...

That hasty recoil let Yuri's sword connect again. This time it struck true, and this time, the trolloc fell to the ground, dead...

OOC: Anything longer than a paragraph or two is going to be posted on a weekend or on an evening other than Tuesday (between 5 and 11pm PST). That's when I'm not at work.

The only exception might be something like the previous combat scene. I wrote it last night, for the most part, but I needed to make sure Tomas did what I expected before I posted it.
