[WotC_Logan] Why is Tiamat Huge?

It saddens me quite a bit to see the in game rules being mandated by what once were out of game minis :-S

No winning this one as you don't want minis involved in any way with gaming (I assume), but minis have been a part of the hobby for ages and it makes perfect sense to me to design monsters based on what's available (WotC or otherwise) to depict that monster.

Also... fights against larger creatures are harder to depict on limited grid space. There is no denying that D&D 4e is heavily tied to the grid (and I respect that some people dislike that) so it makes sense to make the majority of your creatures sized to allow for dynamic grid combat.

Wotc is just rewarding its longtime customers.

Making monsters too big in this system can be a real problem since big monsters don't just get to shove puny mediums out of their way. If Gargantuan monsters had speed proportionate to their size and could just move where they wanted, forcing smaller foes to get out of the way or be crushed, that would be a whole 'nother story.

Since it seems that gargantuan miniatures aren't profitable, will Orcus be errata'd to huge? How about Ancient Dragons?

I'd rather have a huge Orcus rather than no Orcus at all, and it is big enough for me.

Tiamat is Huge? That's lame, in my opinion. The reasoning behind changing Tiamat's size to accomodate the mini Aspect of Tiamat seems strange, since Orcus is Gargantuan despite the fact that the Aspect of Orcus is Large. Dragons are stronger the larger they are. The most powerful dragon of all (next to Bahamut) should definately be Gargantuan, IMHO.

But aspect of Orcus is an actual, large-sized monster in the Monster Manual. I might be wrong about both counts, but I also believe they plan to release a gargantuan-sized Orcus mini as well.

Why does soemthing have to be BIG to be powerfull man???

What if she's like infinitely small... GOD is in the electron mannnnnnnn
