Would you like to help my Fighter? ^^

Have you thought about shield push as your other at will? If your DM uses hazards regularly or you have a controller with zones it's worth considering.

It may help if we know what the rest of your party looks like.

I would go for Brash Strike instead of Cleave. You use it when you have temp hp, you can't get out of flanking or another situation where you already give CA.

I would have pondered taking the Barbarian multiclass feat, and then grab the level 1 Barbarian encounter power "Great Cleave". It goes really well with "Come and get it". You should be able to use "Come and get it" AP: "Sweeping blow", and then use "Great Cleave" the following round.

Got a player with a Dwarven Battlevigor Fighter he had the following start-stats after modifiers:
18
15
12
8
13
10

First and foremost: thank you everyone!

Many people have suggested that I should have started with 8 int, and tecnicaly it's probably the best choice, but I have been keeping no negative scores for roleplay issues, as requested by my DM.

I was considering starting the game with 9 cha, representing the fact that my character came from a very isolated and secret clan, keeping a relatively low profile.

Do you guys have suggestions with no negative scores?

Regarding Brash Strike, I agree. Its probably the best choice for secondary at-will, specially when I am already granting CA, or when I really want to hurt someone (orcs!).

I was about to drop Sweeping Blow for Blinding Smash, but combined with Come and Get it... hummmm...

Klaus, I am very happy with my hammer, and my dice agrees with me. I agree that use an Axe for Sweeping Blow is VERY tempting.

Your suggestion of armor is very good and usefull when we are ambushed (happens a lot lol), but our DM suggested me to consider Plate. I am very satisfied with Scale, having good protection and no check penalty. We will probably talk again in the near future, becuse I like the idea of been able to jump/climb with no penalty.

I would rather get Bell Ringer or Shield Bash than Lunging Strike.

I will keep reading the suggestions...please keep them comming.:)

Never overlook the ability to attack (and thus mark) an opponent two squares away (like, say, FLYING!!!).

Anyway, it's your funeral...

... wait! It's MY funeral, too!

Aw, crap.

My first advice? Change your armor.

Granted, the ability to summon and dismiss your armor with a minor action is both fun and flavorful. But think about this for a second; you are a class which specializes in putting pointy things into squishy bits. You are a build of said class that particularly enjoys the rush of adrenaline and the thrill of battle. You are a race that holds obstinance in particularly high regard. Why would you ever want to take your armor off?

Second, fighters benefit greatly from multi-class feats, specifically those that take a minor action to activate. Fighters are usually starved for minor actions (other than drinking potions, activating dailies, or USELESSLY BANISHING THEIR ARMOR), so taking Student of Battle (Inspiring Word 1/day), Initiate of the Faith (Healing Word 1/day), Warrior of the Wild (nerfed Hunter's Quarry 1/encounter), Disciple of Divine Wrath (nerfed Oath of Enmity 1/encounter), Berserker's Fury (+2 damage for the encounter 1/day), Defender of the Wild (mark adjacent enemies 1/encounter) or even Student of the Plague (stretch armstrong 1/day) would be a good idea. Probably the strongest of these is Berserker's Fury, since it plays into your character concept the best and give access to Storm of Blades once you hit level 13.

Imagine all a good rogue can do with a Dazed target....
Yeah, I have some things to talk with the DM... I mean, that craghammer is a level 8 item!!!

:D

But seriously, the build I did for the waraxe can be turned into the craghammer with no effort (just replacing Deadly Axe for Hammer Rythm at paragon). Thing is, you don't need Toughness, you already have hp out of the wazoo. If you take Brash Strike, Battle-Scarred Veteran is perfect (even the name fits, eh?).

As for armor, think about getting a Meliorating armor (+1 AC at each milestone).

LOL no daily power and a property that haven't been used yet. But I LOVE the weapon anyway.

For my itens I am considering:

- Armor of Durability
- Dwarven Armor
- Cloak of the Walking Wounded
- Amulet of Physical Resolve
- Recoil Shield
- Shield of Defiance
- Strikebacks
- Belt of Blood

and itens that increase my durability or help me get rid of slowed, immobilized etc.

I am avoiding any flamboyant itens that I think does not meet the theme.

Revised Ability score advice:

str 19
con 16
dex 11
int 10
wis 12
cha 10

Reasoning:

As a defender (right?), you want to have a few points in all 3 defense ability pairs. As you will be using a shield your will is probably going to be the lowest. Con is not ALL that important for your characters mechanics. Hammer rhythm is nice but your REAL important stat is going to be str, all your attacks are based on it.
