Why bother playing ttrpgs if playing the games as they were meant to be played by the designer isn't for you? Why not just play video games?

Only allowing games to start at level 1 is not how the designers meant DnD to be played.

Starting at level 1 was the default, opposed to rules options like starting with higher-level "experienced" PCs.
