Ulfar wanting to regain his composure from the previous encounter decides to gain favour with his deity and ask him to bless the party. "Oooh Aaah… Oooh Aaah…", harmoniously chants Ulfar and then squawks, "Moradin we are grateful! Bless thy faithful!". Ulfar feels a slight tingle in his right hand as he equips his heavy mace knowing that the blessing was successful. (OCC: Ulfar casts bless while the whole party is within 50' of him)
Astarra turns to her fellow adventurers and says softly: "You guys stay hidden and watch my back. I'll go play the damsel in distress and see if these fellows will help."
Astarra moves into the trail and toward the approaching figures. "Help, can somebody please help me," she says while waving at them.

Gordo slips his shortbow off his shoulder and grabs an arrow from his quiver preparing for combat
Zeratol tries to stay out of sight for the moment
Astarra moves from cover into the trail and makes her call for "help"
Moradin answers Ulfar's request and gives the party his blessing (all characters gain a +1 on attack rolls for 10 rounds)

Human1 is slightly startled when he sees the little halfling step out of the tall grass. She motions to her partner and points first at Astarra and then at Ulfar and GOrdo (Zeratol has not been spotted) before stepping off the trail (5' step) and ducking into the tall grass to load her crossbow. She pops up and takes a shot at Astarra (modified ranged attack roll of 6 vs. AC13; a miss) but is too hasty and the shot goes wide.

Zeratol thinks to himself “Ahh @$#%& (some unpronounceable elfish swear word) here we go again, every time we go on a little trip I get to do some crossbow practice”. Seeing Human1 duck into the tall grass he moves 30ft NNE (move silently) to try get a better shot with his crossbow. Zeratol will then take a shot at Human1.
Judging by the obviously aggressive tactics displayed by the two humans on the path, Ulfar moves as far as he can (Will run if possible in the current terrain) towards the human #2 while drawing his heavy mace and holding his shield up in a defensive posture.

Gordo, sencing that his stash of panther steaks may be in danger decides against his short bow tactics. In one swooping movement he stashes the bow and draws his great sword. In a flash of steel and muscle he sets off in a dashing sprint (which changes to a brisk canter about 15ft later due to his copious consumption of steaks), in a loud bellowing voice he lets out his war cry, "THEY CAN TAKE OUR LIVES..... BUT THEY CAN NEVER TAKE OUR FEEDING!!!!".
He covers the space between him and the humans in a theatrical dispaly of aggression, resolve and hunger, almost running over Zeratol in the process. His intentions are clear.... to open a huge can of Whip-ass on the humans in the form of a power attack.

Zeratol keeps low in the grass (hide check of 17 - 5(move full speed) = 12 vs. modified spot check 3; success) and stealthely moves 30ft. closer and takes a shot with his crossbow (ranged attack roll of 13 + 4(AB) + 1(BL) = 18; a hit doing 4HP dmg) hitting the hostile in the abdomen.
The bolt just missed Astarra and she is slightly rattled as she loads her crossbow (move action) and takes the shot (ranged attack roll of 8 + 3 (AB) + 1(BL) = 12; a hit doing 5HP dmg) putting the bolt in the hostile's chest. Human1 grabs hold of the bolt in his chest and stares blankly at it.
Ulfar is on Gordo's heals (run at 3x speed in heavy armour in a straight line) with mace and shield ready.
Human2 follows his partner's lead and steps into the tall grass (5ft. step), loads his crossbow and fires a shot at the running dwarf (modified ranged attack roll of 15 vs. AC18 - 2(DEX running) = AC16; miss) putting a bolt into Ulfar's shield.
