Eric Noah's updated autocalculating XPH powers spreadsheet

What can I say... ROFL

No errata to Energy Missile, no errata to Dispel Psionics (or have I missed that somehow!?).

Metamorphic Transfer is still way too good (well, at least they made the change, that it cannot be used three times per manifestation of Metamorphosis, as in the XPH version, but the way it works now, it still seems pretty overpowered for a single feat (since it gives way too many possible abilities, especially when comparing with the similar Assume Supernatural Ability, which grants only one and adds a disadvantage on top of that, tho it has no limit on uses at least), and it is in no way clarified what happens with abilities, that are constant and thus not activated at all (i.e. Choker's Quickness)).

The rest looks ok, though. But having such blatantly obvious errors in there, which are not even being corrected, is really disappointing.

Doh! :D

And the Blue is still +1 ;), tho there is quite some errata, maybe they added or improved some of the abilities.

Well, I am starting to officially despair of WotC's errata right now. How they manage to avoid most of the obviously and scarily "broken" powers (like Energy Stun etc. ) is really beyond me but maybe they employ an entirely set of logical laws....

I can already see a couple of narrowly power-minded players lean back and grin at their GMs, quoting this and wanting to get those abilities/powers as printed, as the official errata did _not_ change them.... Of course that's the same crowd of players who go pale if these powers are used against them.... hmmmm, Iam starting to see a teaching approach here.... :] :] :]

thanks Thanee for giving me something to laugh about on this heat-wracked weekend, though.

Yep, with those +1 DC / +1 PP powers and especially the totally ridiculous Dispel Psionics it's really impressive how they can miss that, since it was known like 1 day after the book was out. ;)

And I have not met a single person yet (and there are plenty who do not agree with my views in general among these), who did not immediately agree, that Dispel Psionics can't be right. :D

This is really, really disappointing. I really liked the creative ideas in this book, and especially the ideas of how to make psionics more playable and balanced, but they still managed to screw it up. When will they ever, ever, ever get psionics balanced with the rest of the rules!!!! This has to be because of that awful policy WOTC has of not using errata to fix anything they consider "playable" even if it even not how the author intended it to work. I would much rather they used the errata as an opportunity to fix things that were obviously mistakes. Oh, well, time for house rules, I guess.
