[YB] Bleu vs. Rouge (Ciaran Judging)

Creamsteak

Explorer
"Hello, Bleu..."

Rouge waits patiently for his opponent, and a judge to drop by. He seems confident that despite his lack of training, it will be he who conquers his twin brother.

"I'm ready, are you?"

Upon the entrance of his opponent, he calls out his first official challenge, "I find your daimyo to be awful, your birthplace to be forgettable, and your defense to be blunt."

"Get ready, big brother, I'm about to prove that I'm stronger."

Rogue is a slightly built, but very slender red-eyed man with a strangely curious grin on his face. He waits patiently for his brother Bleu's arrival, knowing full well that when combat begins, it may not end for days, as the two train against each other in their differing paths.

"Rogue."

Bleu nods to his twin, his mind already twirling through the techniques and methods that he's about to use. Somewhere in all his training lies the edge that he's going to need to defeat his brother.

He shakes his head sadly when Rogue calls him out. "You call that an insult? I know as well as you do exactly how forgettable our birthplace was, and it's my offense that's going to clobber you, little brother - my defense isn't an issue."

He bounces a couple of times on the balls of his feet, testing his balance. "Now, here's an insult: I find your son to be odd, your barn to be a cursed grain silo, and your attacking to be rusty."

"Bring it on."

Bleu looks like a mirror image of his twin, Rogue; the only difference is that his expression is focused and serious, rather than mocking, as his sibling's is. He's known this day would come for most of his life, and is more than ready to beat his brother down - no matter how long it takes.

An aged gentleman totters over; he bears a tall parasol of scarlet silk in one bony hand, and leans on the arm of a chubby little flag boy. A gorgeous ki-rin gleams in gold and silver thread on the back of the gentleman's kimono.

"Ah, yet another duel to be judged," says the old man. "Perhaps you would not be averse to my presiding here?"

"As it happens, the ancient masters have decreed this match to take place at the dungeon east of the Point of the Wailing Bones on the day of the spear." The old man gestures, and his flag boy strains red-faced to heave open a trap door in the midst of the training hall. The lad then picks up a lantern and leads the way down a narrow, mildewed stair into the dungeon.

Several minutes later, in a large underground chamber heaped with rotted wooden tables and chairs, the judge states, "Your insults are well matched, but Bleu's insult to his opponent's barn is particularly well chosen. Bleu, you may choose the type and length of the match."

Bleu bows. "Thank you, Most Honorable Ancient One."

He turns to regard his brother. "I choose a Traditional Strategy match, of Three Flags. If you would do us the honor, I request that you generate our hands, Ancient One."

He bows before the judge once more, then addresses his twin. "I hope you're ready, Rogue. This time, there's no one to break us up. I'm going to put you down hard, little brother.

Bleu's Hand:
1: The claw brutally wracks the hells; shreds the blood of the elements!

2: The chain dances from the labyrinth; parts the thrust of the bone!

3: The weasel cuts the peaks; absorbs the speed of the reptile!

4: The claw destroys the bluff; dodges the chi of the ledge!

5: The staff strikes before the city; silences the cut of the crevice!

Rouge's Hand:
1: The fang falls before the ruins; quells the foray of the sickle!

2: The cherry blossom removes the tombs; leaps over the pain of the garden!

3: The kama falls facing the bluff; dodges the rolling of the sands!

4: The west wind severs the glacier; dodges the drive of the grass!

5: The tsunami sweeps across the atoll; shields against the throw of the star!

Rouge draws his shadow dagger out from his red cloak, and channels his energy into the blade to fuel it's stunning venom...

"We will see about that, big brother..."

The claw brutally wracks the hells; shreds the blood of the elements!

(ooc: Wow - Rouge's a sneaky li'l guy... he stole my hand! Guess I'll use the other one. :) )

Bleu slides, dropping beneath his brother's thrust, and twirls in to attack!

The west wind severs the glacier; dodges the drive of the grass!

"You've gotten better, bro - this might actually be a challenge."

OOC: Whooops... now that's non-attentiveness...

If you want to use the hand I 'stole' (by accident) then you can. I really don't care either way...
