Your first Underdark minis?

I got my case Friday night. I pulled all of the commons and uncommons and 12 different rares (they definantly got the packaging down right).

The rares I pulled were:
Balor
Marut
Medium Silver Dragon
Iron Golem
Dromite Wilder
Elminster
Justicator
Draegloth
Drow Archanomancer
Half-Fiend Ogre
Hunched Giant
Mounted Drow Patrol

Not too bad. There are only a couple other rares that are must haves for me (Roper, Helmed Horror, etc), and I'll likley pick them up in trades or off the 2nd hand market.

How big is the Iron Golem? I know it's "large" but the size on the figures varies a bit.

Ah, and the Draegloth! How I could've used him for Fane of the Dorw.

The Iron Golem is stands as tall as the Balor's wings, if I recall correctly since I don't have the figs with me at work. It's one of the best figs I got out of Underdark so far.

The half fiendish ogre looks like it can fill a variety of rolls as well.

And yeah, the quality on the figures is very impressive. Even the "standard" royal guard I thought were worth keeping when most of the time I try to dump 'character' style figures.

I hear the roper and Half fiend ogre are a bit crippled in the skirmish game, any truth?

My "pull" should arrive soon. Auggie's ebay store much better than random packs since i would be disapointed in pulling a Balor due to having a LOT of metal figs. [I don't play skirmish and nearly every mini maker has made a "sword and whip" demon since the 70's]

I can't afford to get a case until the beginning of December, but I picked up 3 packs over the weekend. Pulled a Roper, Marut, and Aspect of Kord as my rares. I was happy. I really like the painting on this set, they are getting much better than the first sets were.

My buddy and I split three cases, which were delivered to work today. Got a funny look from my boss when she passed by my cubicle and saw us opening boosters with the figures all in two groups on my desk.

We each got plenty of all the commons and uncommons, of course, and the only rare we didn't get was a grey render. Neither of us was disappointed. The only trade we wanted to do but couldn't was that my buddy wanted the iron golem, but didn't have anything to trade for it today, so I told him I'd bring it to the next game night (which is conveniently at his place) and I'm sure he has something in his collection I'll take for it.

He also paid for his half of the shipment in cash. Color me very happy!

Picked up two packs tonight.

Got an Elminster (sigh) and a Drow Arachnomancer (double sigh).

I've decided I must have a half-fiend ogre.

Got our case last night, and got 48 out of the 60. Very happy with this set. Some truly outstanding pieces. Elminster is quite nice, and the Iron Golem is AWESOME. Nice to have a few Xorn, and the Earth Shugenja is nice, too. Just a lot of really good sculpts and nice paint jobs.
