I call her "Graveyard dust". Since that's where I want her and most of the drow panethon. :p

I agree. Down with those pretenders. Then, when Vhaeraun has unified all drow, they can start to take care of these short pests in the Night Blow, and then in the Night Above.

'Unloading your longbow'...so that's what the kidz are calling it these days.

"Honey, I need to unload my longbow..."

"Sure, sweetheart, you know where to go for that. There's a certain street where you can do it."

Or call her Belsameth... ;)

Ahh, but then, that wouldn't be the proper name.

The Scarred Lands goddess for the Spider Queen is Sethris.

Who, appropriately, is a weak, contemptible, scuttling thing who barely even qualifies for a god and was essentially laughed at by all the elves when she tried winning them over to worship her. All she ended up getting was some snot-nosed goblins.

It's actually one of the things I rather liked about the Scarred Lands; the settings seemed to be poking deliberate fun at Lolth by making the Spider Goddess for the Scarred Lands pretty much a joke whose status doesn't rate much higher than "angry social outcast."

Where do drow/Lolth come up in the Al-Qadim stuff? [just curious]
Not very much, fortunately. The Land of Fate box set refers to the forgotten gods worshipped in the fallen river empires of Nog and Kadar, including:
[bq]Lotha, a human-headed spider venerated by evil elves who were burned alive for their sins.[/bq]
The name isn't mentioned in the Ruined Kingdoms adventure (which takes place where the empires of Nog and Kadar used to be).

Googling for "Lolth Lloth Loethe" I found this site:

Lolth.

(Lloth, Loethe, Zinserena, Araushnee.

What amuses me is that I don't even know what language that is, yet I can parse it well enough to understand parts of it. :)

For what its worth, Svartalf is the Old Norse for dark elves, and so seeing Svarta there makes me think it is a Scandinavian language :)
