The Ring of Nine Lives is in the Magic of Faerûn. So I believe it is allowable in this game. That isn't to say tha I think it shouldn't be as I feel that it is a mite overpowered.

In my game we have increased the number of templates available, (the Manual of the Planes). more importantly, Divine spell casters can't summon creatures of an opposing alignment, Arcane spellcasters can, but face more difficulties doing so, the summoned creature is more likely to misinterpret...

I second the vote on a Cleric of Obad-Hai, with two non-opposing Elemental Domains. Barring that, Aasimar paladin, just for the saves. BTW, aren't Lizardfolk ECL +5 or something like that in the Dragon? +5 Natural Armour is a HUGE boost.

While I might agree with the rest of your post, I find the assumption that CDG:ing a downed PC is a waste of time, incorrect. My players CDG opponents all the time, and get CDG:ed fairly often themselves. Why? Because they are fighting Humanoid foes with Clerics. IF they don't kill that...
