    What's Up with the Orcusword?

I don't have my books nearby, but I do have a vague recollection of Orcus having a +6 sword back in the Bloodstone adventures... perhaps it was just a retcon to explain why the heck he carried a mondo sword? I vaguely remember it being a higher plus than was normally available...but that was...

    Yay Failing Book Stores?

My primary complaint isn't regarding RPG books...though it's nice to check them out first, the internet tends to educate me as to whether or not I want/need a book. I think my main gripe is looking for a novel to read. Call me old fashioned, but I've found so many great books (and some...

    Yay Failing Book Stores?

Our Waldenbooks in Rutland, Vt is closing next week, too. I've snagged some great deals, but am hugely bummed. They were the ONLY place within a 2 hour drive that sells any RPG stuff, or has a Sci-Fi/Fantasy section of any appreciable size. This leaves us with 2 tiny, local bookstores that...

Scales of War Map (in progress)

Beautiful job... I know I'll certainly get use out of it! I've been hand-waving travel-times and directions, but a couple of my players are starting to wonder where the heck they've been (and where they are going) :) Thanks!! -Matt

    Dragon 379: Assassin Heroic Tier

Yeah, it was odd (and thus my expresssion  ) Walking around on a cruise-ship near Italy...popping into the 'kids-zone' arcade and there they were. Makes me wonder WHERE they came from, and if there's a Warduke out there!?!? -Matt

    Dragon 379: Assassin Heroic Tier

Dear Mike, Zarak, Half-orcish Assassin (born Zarak Abraham Thagvarmarsch) would like to thank you for the 'shout-out', as 'you kids' put it these days. I met him on my honeymoon: he currently works with kids on a Carnival cruise-ship in the Mediterranean. We've stayed Facebook friends ever...

Character Builder on a flash drive?

In all my futzing with it, unfortunately no. :( The CB writes keys to the registry of the machines it is installed on, so it's not as easy as plugging in a flash drive on a PC and running it. You CAN install (or copy an install) to the flash drive, but you HAVE to have installed it on the PC...

[Fiery Dragon] The trinity is complete: Counter Collection 4e Paragon 01 available!

Heya Claudio! Just a quick question about the Digital versions... I'm eyeballing the digital versions (great googly moogly that's a LOT of fantastic art!!!) and was wondering what kind of resolution/DPI the JPG files are? I'd love to use them for handouts/portraits of NPCs/beasties and such...

    Character Builder on Flashdrive?

I messed around a bit with this the day it came out. As soon as you login to a DDI account to upgrade the install, it's making a registry key that appears to be encrypted with data that may include the computer's name. What I found was that I would have to at least run the install on a system...

Castle Zagyg - The Upper Works (review)

Dangit. Me too. :) Keep it coming Merric...this is one of those products I've always dreamed of. I've re-freshed the Greyhawk Ruins version a few too many times, yet my players always want more... -Matt

    Warlord Inspiring Word out-of-combat usage

I believe that if you have time, why NOT use it? Essentially, you can use it twice every 5 minutes... so if you have a bit more time to rest, then go for it. -Matt

    Green Dragon

<insert snarky comment about horny green dragons here> ... But more importantly, I LOOOOOOVE your green design Claudio! Very snakelike and, well, venomous. - Matt

D&D 4E Chris Tulach, of WotC, Talks 4E at ConnCon

My fingers are crossed that this all pans out... I generally enjoy LG and the idea of Con campaign-games... Oh and several dozen mods available at launch? Color me skeptical... -Matt

To the Designers: May we please have the DDXP errata?

I am pretty sure I remember Mearls saying something about the Ray of Frost being either a Half-elf related feature or feat...something about being a dabbler in magic... That was at my 1st 4E game at DnDXP, so I was still devouring the character sheets and may have mis-heard him. -Matt
