I don't have the specifics knocked out yet, but I'm picturing a beast that's maybe 7 ft tall at the shoulder, about 11 ft long. Weighs about 1 ton. Since it's so tall, my dwarf will braid a "ladder" into it's long woolly coat so he can climb up and ride into battle:)

Well, flying ostriches not withstanding, thought you might be interested in the final decision on my dwarf paladin's mount: Dire Yak. It fits his history/personality perfectly.

I'm running a paladin for the first time (starting at 8th level) and would like opinions on some fun, interesting mounts that you might have used. Doesn't need to be an uber-mount, just one that's less "standard" than a warhorse. The character is a dwarf who uses a guisarme.

Maybe I'm missing this in the phb/dmg, but is it possible, using the Craft Magical Arms and Armor feat, to enhance an already magical weapon/armor (e.g. make a +1 weapon a +2 weapon)? I understand the rules for making a weapon magical "from scratch", but what about a weapon or armor that is...

Can a cleric who can only cast 4th level spells use a scroll to cast a divine spell of 5th level? If so, does he make some kind of check? I don't have my books with me at the moment. Any references to where this is covered in the rules would be appreciated. Joust
