Watching his friends having such "sport" with these beetles, Raven Elk is suddenly inspired by the game Begadwe ("little brother war"/Lacrosse. Pronounced --- bag-gat'-ta-way), a game of stickball he and his friends played when they were mere boys. Raven Elk had been quite good at it, (he had been the highest scorer) and used those skills now.
Seeing the first of the flying beetles as the Ball, Raven Elk Squared Up a Star Pass by striking the "Ball" (the beetle} in an effort to "pass" it to the next beetle attacking him, knowing that the other beetle would never be able to Cradle the "Ball" (having no hands, nor a Stick). In this manner, Raven Elk hoped to "kill (or at least wound and disorient them by putting them into an Unsettled Situation) two birds with one stone", as it were. Then , he could Poke Check or Slap Check them into submission --- or death.
As he strikes the first beetle, Raven Elk, caught up in the moment, cries: "BALL!"
