Gellan slashes at the kruthik before him a couple of times, wounding it but not fatally. Gloom surges forward and brings down his sword upon the kruthik before him, severing it's head cleanly and sending it bouncing away as it's innards begin to ooze forth. Martelai and Leonard's attacks miss their mark but Minharath is able to call forth divine aid, surrounding the remaining kruithik with a soft glowing aura. Thorn then drives his spear into the creature ending it's life, the glowing aura climbing up his spear and filling his hands and arms with renewed strength.

Silence quickly fills the air, the only sounds the breathing of you and your comrades. The chattering noise of the pursuing kruthik from before is now nowhere to be heard. Continuing on their course the group finds the place spotted before and for at least the time being is able to sit down and catch their breath.

[sblock=Status & Stuff]

OK looks like you now have time for a rest. Your current stats are below. Please let me know how much you plan to heal up and if any additional powers will be used during your rest.

As well, you all gain an action point from that last battle.

A short rest will get all your encounter powers back, but Gellan and Minharath still have spent those dailies.

After the rest the skill challenge will continue to make your way through the Hive, so you can post your check for that. Checks required are at least 1 perception check, 1 stealth, 1 athletics & 1 dungeoneering check.

OOC: People, don't hoard those APs, use them! even if it's for second wind, you get the defenses and keep our healers resources for when it counts. And even better to use them on an attack. Use them or loose them. We won't have three more encounters before we HAVE to have extended rest.

I really haven't felt that pressed this adventure. I spend more time going 'what should I do with my turn' than I do 'oh Juna! I need more healing powers!'.

In fact, I'm starting to worry what is waiting ahead, given how easy the beginning has been. Might just be that the DM is taking it easy on us because we only have 1 healer.

Thorn also kneels and takes a long breath.

[sblock=rest actions]
Thorn expends a Healing Surge (7/11) to regain 8 HPs (now 31/35)

I'm with Tomalak: I haven't seen the need to use a Action Point yet.
