Had you asked me about catfolk? I don't remember us talking about that race.

It wasn't on my standard list of races on the front page of this thread, but there are catfolk on Kulan, specifically the southern regions of the Western Lands. Catfolk are considered common throughout the Dark Continent and uncommon in Southwest Kanpur. They are almost never found anywhere else on the continent, so your PC would be very unique to Bard's Gate.

However, locals would likely think the character is a rakasta since most cat races look alike to humans. Local rakastas will know the character isn't one of them. He'll smell different.

Wow, I swear I saw Catfolk on the list, but it certainly isn't there now. Maybe I ran across it following a link to something else? I had a crazy week and was just popping online occasionally for brief periods, so I guess I got mixed up somewhere. I can play something else if you prefer. I'll try to work the rarity into the background assuming you don't have an issue with him.

Since you've already made the character, we'll just run with it. The main race list was not meant to be "this and nothing else" list.

If you'd asked for catfolk, I probably would have suggested my homebrewed rakasta (yet the ECL for that race is so high, it would be problematic). I might have suggested goatfolk as an alternate too sicne it has an LA of +1 as well. However, the official version isn't on the D&D wiki, so you'd have to have a copy of MM3.

You also have the option of using the catfolk traits and playing the race as a rakasta. It's no big deal. It's not like you picked a race that only found on another continent. (And even that wouldn't have been a big deal if JustinCase had chosen to play a Fallenlanden kenku instead of a regular kunku.)

Just come up with a cool background and you're set. He could be another ex-slave. The group already has two of those. Heh.

The uploader can be wonky from time to time.

I assume the pictures you've uploaded some what your PC is like if you combine the two. Something like that.
