D&D 5E MPMB's D&D 5e Character Tools

Ok math on the all the fields but the gold seems to be working now with the proper amount going to the next field even to the second sheet. The GOLD field doesn't do decimals it rounds them. Can't type in any of the fields at the top right (name, player, dci number ect). No reset this page option now.
Can type in all the other fields in the form on the right for the session. I like the layout though every nice.

Thanks for the quick responds! I'll go through your points one by one:

Decimals/Gold: The fields don't round the actual value, they just round what is shown. There is not a lot of space for a lot of decimals, so the sheet only shows three numbers, maximal a single with two decimals, a double with one decimal, and from 100 and higher it doesn't show any decimals. This doesn't mean that hey aren't there. Just give it a try. Write 10.2 and add 10.5 and later add 100.3, together they will give you 121.

Fields on the top right: These fields fill themselves with the information from the rest of the sheet. So if you put a name, class, DCI, level, etc. etc. on the first page, you will see that they are automatically added to the Logsheets as well. Note that faction and DCI are only visible if you press the Adventure League button. This might be something that I should change, so that you can also alter the DCI and faction on the logsheet. Class en levels is definitely something that only can be changed on the first page, otherwise the other automations would start throwing out errors.

Reset: There is only a reset when you have only 1 page. Otherwise you would be able to reset a page that has pages coming after it that rely on it. I could add a feature allowing the resetting of any page, but I thought it would be safest just to remove it. But now that I think about it, it might not be a bad idea to have it at least on the last page.

Gold: Ok that's cool looks to work right just weird not seeing the decimal.

Fields on the top right: Work for all but the Class and Level and there is no "Faction" field to import from the 1st page.

Reset: Reasonable logic. :)

If you click on the box where the image is suppose to go it will bring up a window with a browse to file button. Then you can browse to your desktop and put it in. The portrait works the same way.

Ah, there's the rub. When I click on the field, colors change, but no window opens. I am using the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader, though I get a dialog whenever I load the pdf that I should upgrade to the latest version. I did re-download the latest version, but still get the dialog.

So you're using Adobe DC not 11 right? I had it work just fine in 11 reader and DC reader. Are you on a PC or a Mac?

If you are having trouble with your Adobe Acrobat Reader installation, I would recommend uninstalling it before trying to install the latest version. Adobe doesn't provide an uninstaller for Reader for Mac, so you should just drag it out of your Applications folder into the trash and then install the one version that you want to have again from a fresh download.

What do you mean with "I get a dialog whenever I load the pdf"? Do you mean just this pdf (the Character Sheet)? Or with any pdf? And it is not my welcome message that you are referring to?

First off I'd like to say thank you and I LOVE this sheet! I've introduced my friends to this sheet and now I am responsible for providing them with fresh copies when they make new characters or just want to rewrite the sheet. It's a hit with everyone so far! The spell sheet is also wonderful!

Now I have an issue...
Since the 10.6 update, when I import a character, I get a little window in the bottom left as it updates fields and such. It gets to the "Getting the sheet ready" part, with the blue bar about 80-90% full and gets stuck there. Clicking the X does nothing, and scrolling through the sheet shows a few area's that are still not filled in/updated. I can however go through and make some modifications to the sheet. I haven't tried to print or save the sheet as of yet with this happening. Last night I re-entered my character into the sheet to avoid this problem (thinking it might be a problem from an older export to the new sheet). Today I tried to import that same character for a quick mod, and still having the same issue.

Second, I noticed when using the menu to add gear, it seems to lump regular pouches and spell component pouches together. My character has a spell pouch, and 2 standard pouches. I can add them manually, but would be nice if the automation didn't put them together.

Lastly, a feature request. (unless I'm missing it somewhere).
Bag of Holding. This item weighs 15 pounds regardless of it's contents, and can store up to 500lbs. I see there is an option to indicate 'location' of items. Is it possible to indicate what items are stored in my bag of holding and have it automatically exclude the weight from my encumbrance? Certainly I just do this manually, again it would just be nifty if the automation did it for me. :)

Thanks again for the awesome sheet and keep up the great work!

The new version now has better handling for decimals and the option to change the DCI, player name, character name, and faction on the Adventurers Log page as well. Class and Levels was indeed not working, but now it is :) Class and levels will be the only thing that can't be edited anywhere but on the first page.

Faction wasn't on the first page, but on the fourth page (at Allies & Organization).

Reset will now also work for all the logsheets, as will the option to remove them.

Really awesome to hear you and your friends like my work!

Importing from an older version of the sheet will always come with some issues, mostly with fields that are not correctly filled or calculated. Your issue with the progress bar has been noted and fixed in the new version (v10.65).

If an item is part of the name of another item, it is recognized as the same. I have manually made some arrangements to stop this from happening with a couple of items (such as staff and quarterstaff), but didn't think of doing this for pouch and component pouch. I have added the exception in the new version (v10.65).

As for your feature request, this might be something I will do later on, but for now you can just write all the things that are in the bag of holding into one of the four equipment columns (on the second on third page). You can then select which of these four columns do and don't count toward "total weight carried". You can do this with the "Weight" button, or by clicking on the total weight carried on the second page.

I just uploaded a new version with numerous bugfixes that were brought about with the new features of hiding/adding extra pages and the adventurers log.

MPMB's Character Sheet v10.65 (13-4-2016) with the following changelog:
  • Changed how the Adventurers Log deals with decimals
  • Fixed a bug that would leave the Classes and Levels field blank on the Adventurers Log page (thanks RaTath for noticing)
  • Made it possible to set Name, Player Name, Faction, and DCI on the Adventurers Log page (Classes and Levels will be auto-filled and can only be set on the first page)
  • Made it possible to reset any of the Adventurers Log pages (instead of only the first one)
  • Made it possible to remove any of the Adventurers Log pages (instead of only the last one)
  • Added the character’s name to the Wild Shapes page
  • Fixed the calculation order of the fields when adding another Adventurers Log page
  • Fixed a bug that didn’t allow the Extra Equipment location column to be shown
  • Fixed it so that adding a “Pouch” doesn’t stack with “Component Pouch” (thanks Subpar 77 for noticing)
  • Fixed some bugs with moving equipment and magic items up/down

Hey MPMB

Was putting my character to the new sheet and filling out the Adventure's League log sheet. The log sheet stopped auto filling to the next log from log 11 to log 12. Don't know if there are any other glitch spots past that yet.

RaTath

Sorry this was on the .63 version will try it on the new .65 version

Yep does not auto fill from log 11 to log 12 and can't add it manually in the .65 version.

I'm sorry but I'm unable to reproduce this error. You are talking about the adding up of the start+gain=total right? That the start is not being copied on log 12 from the total of log 11?

I have nothing going wrong with entry 11 to 12 on both Letter and A4 version, using both Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC on a Windows 10 64 bit machine.
What is the software that you are using? Does it persists if you edit some other field and tab out of that field (like add some text in the "adventure name" field and tab to the next field)?
Do you get any error messages in the JavaScript console (CTRL+K to open the settings, go to JavaScript >> Show Console on errors).
