D&D 5E MPMB's D&D 5e Character Tools

I've always found it odd that there is no option in the Armor dropdown to choose "no armor" or something similar. As a Sorcerer I am not proficient in any armor and at low level I don't even have Mage Armor unless I had picked it as one of the starting spells (which I didn't). Or just that having the armor description blank it automatically assumes you have 10+Dex in AC instead of waiting for a second number other than Dex to calculate your Armor Class.
There is no option, because the intention behind it is that you simply write "10" in the AC/Armor Bonus field, and leave the description field blank. At least, that is how I prefer it and how it was originally intended. In the original, leaving the description field blank would have the AC/Armor Bonus field auto-populate with a "10". However, somebody along the line (@JValeur to be exact) correctly pointed out that some people would like a way for the armor AC bonus and the total AC field to remain empty while printing. Thus I made both fields empty by default.

So what you are asking is already possible, just not very well explained or part of the drop-down box. If you write either "unarmored", "nothing", "naked", or "bare" in the armor description drop-down box, you will see that the sheet auto-populates a 10 in the armor AC bonus field. However, I fully understand your request and will be adding "unarmored" to the drop-down box. I will also add "no armor" as a recognized option. I'll make these changes in the next version!

Please note that none of the drop-down boxes on the sheet are limited by their options, you can always type in anything you want into the field, the list is there just to make the selection quicker. Also, you can manually set the armor AC bonus to any number you want.

There was a small issue a couple of versions back that caused this. I just tested it with the latest version of the Colorful Character Sheet and found that I couldn't reproduce this. Can you please verify for me which version you are using? I fixed this bug in v12.37

I did, however, found that with fixing the bug you mentioned, I created another minor bug that causes the spell slots not to appear correctly. I will be fixing that later today (with version v12.4).

So even though the bug you are having problems with is not there anymore in the latest version, pointing it out got me to fix another bug, so thank you very much :)

My fault its v12.36 - will update it when v12.4 comes. didn't realise it was updating so quickly.

thanks for looking
It took a bit more time, but v12.4 is here!

Changelog for MPMB's Character Record Sheet v12.4 (28 October 2016):

  • Added the Firbolg from Volo’s Guide to Monsters;
  • Moved the races taken from Unearthed Arcana (Changeling, Minotaur, Shifter, and Warforged) to the ‘Fan-made Addition’ Dropbox and are no longer part of the sheet by default;
  • Fixed a lot of racial traits to look better in the Printer Friendly version of the sheet;
  • Changed the way the races are found in the drop-down boxes;
  • Changed many mouseover texts/tooltips to include bold headers;
  • Added “unarmored” to the armour drop-down list on the first page. Writing this was always an option, but now it is more explicit as part of the drop-down box (as suggested by MathimCaim);
  • Fixed a bug with the Spell Slots not appearing correctly on the Colourful sheets (thanks Johanus for noticing).

Re: Firbolg

I thought you would wait until Volo's Guide to Monsters was officially out. But having it now is nice. My wife is playing one in the Storm King's Thunder campaign.

I was playing with the idea of moving the UA races to the fan-made additions dropbox and thought that while I'm already busy with the races, why not add the Firbolg from the Volo preview :)

Personal opinion is that the UA races & classes should have their own section because, technically, they are not fan-made races. But neither are they official.

P.S. I'm not making a suggestion, just voicing an opinion. Plus, I can see why you are doing that way.

I am not sure what kind of 'section' you would want them to be in. Do you mean a separate folder on the Dropbox? My intention behind the name "fan-made additions" is not about the content of the additions, but about the code. The idea is that the code is fan-made, so that people don't complain if it isn't a 100% operational.
