D&D 5E MPMB's D&D 5e Character Tools

Misunderstood. Stand corrected.
I still see the point you were trying to make. When (if) the amount of homebrew material in the Dropbox becomes so high that it appears unordered, it will probably be a good idea to have a separate folder for the Unearthed Arcana stuff. But I feel we are not quite there yet. And also, the amount of non-UA material is very sparse ;)

I sorta felt like there should be a distinction between UA and fan-made. Maybe adding a small star in front of the race/class with a mouse over saying that the small star indicates that the race/class comes from UA. (Or something like that.)

Well currently neither the UA nor homebrew material is part of the sheet by default. Getting it in the sheet requires manually adding the custom code for it. If you get the content from the Dropbox it is obvious which comes from UA and which doesn't. I feel that if you manually added something it should be pretty clear what the origin of the entry is. Unless somebody is just adding stuff to the sheet randomly of course [emoji14]

I am wondering why there is no distinction on spell slots if you multiclass into Warlock. Warlock uses Pact Mage slots which refresh after a short rest while all others uses Spell Casting slots which refresh after a long rest. My Sorcerer 1/Warlock 1 has three spell slots total, but one is a Warlock slot and they are all displayed together with no noteable difference. I mean if it is possible to make a difference that would be great, otherwise I can probably live with it since I will know how many slots I have from Warlock :p Clicking the Short Rest button on first page also doesn't uncheck the spellslot for Warlock on spellcasting page, while the Long Rest one does.

Firbolg racial ability scores are wrong when you go to the ability score window, it gives a bonus +2 CON and +1 DEX.

On another note are you going to be putting Volo's PC race's into the main sheet or will it go to a script?

The sheet knows no difference between the spell slots gained from warlock and from any other source, that is why it treats them all the same. I could make the sheet see a difference for the Short Rest button, but I found that to be too much work for too little pay-off. How many people will really use that functionality anyway?

The problem with getting the spell slot checkboxes to look different for the Warlock slots than for the other slots is the sheer number of variability that would suddenly introduce. Currently the 'checkboxes' that you see appear are actually a picture that is loaded behind a couple of fields. There is a picture for 1, 2, 3, and 4 checkboxes, so 4 different images. Now think about how many pictures I would need if it need to accommodate every variety of 1 through 4 warlock/other spell slots, that is 14 images! This is not even considering the fact that the sheet would need extra blue-text fields to be able to set this, and a bunch of extra code to make this all work. After looking at this and the amount of times it will be a real issue I decided it was not worth the effort.

You are absolutely right, good catch! I did the Firbolg in a hurry and forgot to check that part of the script. I will correct it when I do the rest of the player races from VGM. As it is an official published source, I will be adding them in the main sheet :) Just have to figure out how to do the Aasimar...

After trying the printer friendly sheets, I must say I like them even better then the colored one. They are just a little easier to read (but lack the style ofc).

Could you port some features from the colored sheet? Like the ability to display spell slots on page 1 and the ability to hide additional equipment?

I'm not sure I really like the actions field on the first page. There just doesn't seem to be too much information there. Maybe it would be useful to fill it with the standard actions like on the colored sheet?

It might also be beneficial to find space for the feats on page 2 and move the character traits to page 3 because the text of some feats is mechanically relevant.

You hit the nail on its head, that was the whole intention behind the Printer Friendly versions :D

The spell slots on the Printer Friendly version take up more space and won't fit as replacement for the Limited Feature lines just as it does in the Colorful versions. Even with the Colorful version it is more a leftover from the fact that the option to have Spell Slots preceded the possibility to generate Spell Sheets. Adding that was a pain that I would rather not repeat.

Hiding the additional equipment on the Colorful versions is done by showing the Combat Rules section instead. The Printer Friendly versions have that Combat Rules section on a separate page, the Player Reference sheet.

Both these things (among others) have been left out intentionally to keep the Printer Friendly sheet simpler, faster, and overall lighter.

Not all characters will make equal use of the action section, that is true. If I would add the default actions there would literally be no more space left for actions gained from class/race/feats/etc.

It might also be beneficial to find space for the feats on page 2 and move the character traits to page 3 because the text of some feats is mechanically relevant.
Another concious design decision that I won't change. The personality traits are part of the basic rules of 5e, while the feats are optional rules. It doesn't make sense to move them between the pages. Also, there is no way to make more than one space for feats fit on the second page.

Nice, I can't wait too have a look at all the new racial traits and think up some interesting builds. Also some new Dinos for my Moon Druid wonder how I am going to sell that to my DM >.<

As for the Aasimar cant you do them either how the Elves/Dwarves are done or the Half-Evels using the racial button?

I will probably just put all 4 types of Aasimar in the drop-down box, seems the most logical :)
