D&D 5E What Subclasses and races are still missing?

As far as I can see, there is really only one missing class: a psionic one.

I've agreed with everything you've said except this.

As we all know, pisonics should be something every character has a 1% chance to get....

The idea of players playing monsters as PCs has been around since day 1 with Gygax saying you could play a dragon if you want, as long as you start at level 1. Then in 2e they had a "Complete Book of" supplement that outlined how to play monsters as races. Not a new thing. But it's so rare that I don't think they need to put out a book with all those monsters listed as races. Volo's guide already covered that topic on how to do it. So I don't expect to see much more.

I'd just be happy if they supported the existing campaign settings with races, classes/subclasses, and monsters.

I wonder how many of these ideas could be accomplished with an expanded list of feats, tailored toward a given class or set of classes, meant to add/adjust class abilities in the same way that standard feats add/adjust general abilities. That compacts the numbers/spread of added abilities and would allow a wider range of characters to gain them.

(with the class ideas mentioned, the first one that I would like to see as a subclass is a Path of the Dervish Barbarian as a way to better build a Dexterity-based Barbarian, altering how Rage is used)
