So I did make it tough to play Finnan. A neutral aligned character with a 16 CHA is slightly odd. So I like the traits and that his life has made him broody, but the old Finnan is still there just no reason for him to come out yet.

Only see a need to go into his Great Old One connection a little bit deeper. Maybe add in somewhere during his apprenticeship he came across some old lore that drew the attention of his Patron. He studied and made maybe some small contact with this power. (although Finnan didn't know he opened a link between the two of them). His Master left him free enough to go about studying whatever he wished.

Will be adding in the Book of Secrets in the IC so he will have it when the breakout starts, no need to worry about that as of yet.

Now if I can only get two more interested parties. Maybe I'll have to post in that looking for players thread.

Funnily enough I had thought along those lines but it never made it to the keyboard, my limited writing skill is not very well structured - my high school English teachers are very disappointed I'm sure.

I've updated, though it's still a little vague, I'll see how it does tomorrow while I watch my little one playing.

I wish I had more to work with than the picture, stats, and the game starting with us captured by some unknown group. Not much world building here. The product sheet just says madness is coming.

I also feel she should have Deception or Survival. Otherwise she's not much of a scout/infiltrator. Since she doesn't have one of those skill, I wrote her background as counter-intelligence since her wisdom (and perception) are too low for going off into unknown territory by herself. She would get lost too much. :)

Here goes:

Thia

Trait: I am guarded and slow to become friends.
Trait: I act like I don't care about anything. But important things matter.
Ideal: Freedom is important. Curbed freedom must be fought against.
Bond: Anyone who treats me as weak because I'm a woman or an elf, will find out I'm not so weak.
Flaw: I don't think there's anyone in this world who will love me and thus I push people away

Personality: Thia was once an outgoing, fun-loving person. When she lets her guard down, that person peeks out sometimes. But otherwise she seems as dour as a dwarf, all business.

Background: Thia loves to sing old romantic tales and tell stories of ancient heroes. Doing so reminds her of Feliza Manig, her mentor and teacher for many years. She does not talk about her parents, her father always complained about not having a son. This is also why she doesn't tell people her family name when she introduces herself.

Then the war came and her music teacher was killed in a raid on his village. She immediately put down her flute and enlisted as a scout. She worked mostly in counter-intelligence, spreading rumors and discord among the enemies, investigating rumors, and routing out enemy spies.

I know 2nd Edition Realms stuff and never read _any_ Realms books. Also, it's a big place, where does this adventure start?

I prefer to organically learn who characters are in play rather than overthinking them before hand. But I would like to know where Thia might have been a soldier and who the enemy was. But without a location I have no idea where to even start.

Kildrak Firebeard

Trait: I place no stock in wealthy or well mannered folk. Money and manners won't save you from an angry Hook Horror.

Ideal: Honor If I dishonor myself, I dishonor the memory of my whole clan.

A dwarf shall never act against any
other dwarf, of any clan, by aiding or using
the aid of nondwarven creatures.
A dwarf shall not refuse to aid another
dwarf of the clan, when the life or health
of the needy dwarf is in danger.
A dwarf shall not steal from another
dwarf, nor keep from another dwarf that
which is his or hers by right, whether
through force or deceit.
A dwarf shall not conceal personal injury
or illness from fellows of the same
clan.
A dwarf shall not speak falsely to another
dwarf.

Bond: I am the last of my clan, and it is up to me to make sure their names become legend.

Flaw: I remember every insult I've received and nurse a silent resentment toward anyone who's every wronged me.

Personality:
Kildrak is full of bluff and bluster. Underneath his gruff exterior his soul mourns for his lost family and friends.

Background:
The Firebeards were a small clan of dwarves who ran an Adamantine mining outpost deep into the Underdark.
The Drow, greedy for the Adamantine as their own, invaded the clan and killed his brethren. The lone survivor of the massacre, Kildrak escaped into Underdark, learning to survive and vowing to Valkauna; the goddess of oaths, death and birth, to avenge the deaths of his kin.
Kildrak has lent his skills more than once to adventuring parties. His latest endeavours have once again found him the sole survivor of another drow massacre. This time however with him in shackles!

All of that I am leaving up to you players. I can give ideals get you thinking and I'll ask questions, but these are your characters inside I am just providing the shell through out.

Ideals, Thia's abilities and spells I tried to gear towards her Infiltration aspect, she gets in gets whatever information her superiors want (locate object) and gets out. So does she go in alone or is she part of an elite team? Was she part of an all elven army or a small force helping humans of the Sword Coast. Either way I would think the enemy would be orcs and giants, they seem to rampage through the realms a lot. Or she could have been in the big Tyranny of Dragons battle if you ever played that.

She could have been captured anywhere, 100 of miles from where she will effectually wake up.
