Legend
Angis continued to load and fire his crossbow at the orc swordsman as the brute led the other orcs up the steep hill. A well-placed quarrel lodged itself into the orc's leg, and the others rushed by him. Dandin saw his moment to strike and he urged his bear forward as the orcs came up.

The bear ran straight for an elf guard, who had stepped forward to help Vairar with the remaining wolf. Dandin called out, and the bear took to his training just in time - he barrelled his way through the elf guard, knocking her onto the ground (but unharmed) before lunging at the first orc to come up. One swipe of the big bear's paw was all it took to murder the orc. The next orc up swung his axe at the bear, but was hesitant to engage fully, and it came off more of a 'stay away' than a meaningful attack.

Sir Darfin and the one-eyed orc traded spells: The elf sent a flurry of magical missiles that roughed up the orc, and the orc caused a shimmering spear to appear behind the elf-lord. It floated in the air and thrust down at Darfin, who quickly side-stepped. Not wanting to get struck with more missiles, the one-eyed orc moved out of sight for the moment under the cover of the nearby cliff.

OOC: Still Escella, Titus, Tommi, and Vairar to go (and a bunch of orcs), but I wanted to get ahead on this while I had a moment.

Vairar uses bears rush to reposition into more advantageous position. But his excuses of slipping and difficult terrain grow thin even to himself as he stabs once more unsuccessfully, missing the wolf who turned to follow the bears progress.

Obviously, even stupid wolf knew who the greater threat was.

Vairar curses in elven, common and orcish, each less refined and more vile than the last.

"I'm going after that one trying to get word to the larger force." Escella says as she casts a spell. She then jumps down from the cliff, landing on her feet. She sprints with alacrity between the closing forces of orcs and men and elves and makes a running jump into the river below.

Athletics: 1D20 = [16] = 16 To get down the first cliff safely.
Running jump just has a check to see if you land prone. Into water that seems silly.
Action: cast Expeditious Retreat
Move: down the hill and run
Bonus: dash with a jump at the end.
Acrobatics: 1D20+2 = [12]+2 = 14 Not quite a swan dive, but not bad, eh?
I think she ends up somewhere around V36.

Tommi leaves the bushes and heads straight for the one-eyed leader. (He doesn't know it's a cleric, and if he did, he might think differently. His mom, Jyn, always was wary of formal religion of any kind, and Tommi has mostly kept away from it.)

As he moves, lightly on his feet, he is like he is dancing over rocks and grass. He draws Gutter from his belt, and uses his momentum to help with a swing, but he windmills through empty air, missing his target.

Tommi tries to brush it off as if it were deliberate:

"Surrender now, or die," he proclaims boldly, quoting one of the heroes in the stories that Lionel would tell back at the Happy Cow in Daggerford.

OOC: Move+Bonus Dash= move 60' to R27.
Attack with Gutter: 1d20+5=7 miss. If a hit damage = 1d6+3 slashing.

Reaction if relevant and if he happens not to surrender: Skirmisher (Scout): If someone ends their turn w/in 5' of me use reaction to move up to half speed, w/ no opportunity attack (up to S24 or thereabouts).

Wow, Titus thought as the bear barged past him. That was close.
Titus saw Tommi leaving the safety of the bush and head down towards OneEye. He quickly sends Morwin down to help Tommi by distracting OneEye. But be careful, I want you back in one piece, Titus urged his familiar.
With the bear in front of him it was getting crowded, Titus couldn't quite reach anyone. Instead he slid down the slope and behind the bear to the other side. He would attack the first orc that came within his reach.

Morwin, the Tressym
Action: Dash (40')
Move: Morwin will get most of the way to OneEye

Titus
Move: to AC39, if possible.
Action: Ready to attack the first orc that comes within Titus' reach.
Sword attack and damage: 1D20+5 = [3]+5 = 8
1D8+5 = [7]+5 = 12
, looks like a miss. Would have been better to dodge! Oh, well...

Legend
When the elf guard fell, the wolf immediately pounced on her, tearing at her arm with its powerful jaw. Vairar tried to stab at it, and was struck from the side by the orc with his sword, and he was forced to turn to defend himself.

Escella slid down the steep slope and landed on a large boulder, then she leaped clear over the heads of the orcs who were coming up the hill, landed on another boulder, and then dove from the cliff into the river. She was out of sight for the moment, so the orcs threw another volley of javelins up the cliff toward the other elves and Angis. Most of the javelins clattered off of the standing elf guard's large shield, but one struck that guard in the arm, a light wound.

Titus tried a similar act, sliding down the steep slope, but was not quite as graceful as Escella had been. He stumbled as he lunged for an orc, and the orc easily beat his sword aside with an axe.

While the orcs were destracted by Escella's dive, Tommi and ORB5 slipped past them down hill, and made their way over to the one-eyed orc, who was out of sight of the others behind the lower cliff. Tommi cut at him with gutter, and ORB5 shot a short burst of lightning, but the one-eyed orc fought back, defending himself with a shield.
