Unfortunately for the nukes to not work you have to change the laws of physics and all life and reality as we know it ceases to exist.Nope, he already wished that nukes stopped working. Hell, he could even create zones where gunpowder would not work. So many possibilities...
Or you just wish the physics behind nukes was never discovered--it's still there, we just never learned how to build them. In my opinion, this version of wish is a hell of a lot more fun than casting an 8th level spell from the cleric spell list.I think I'd have to fall back on the old version of adjudicating wish which was basically "Figure out how to grant the letter of the wish while f***ing over the caster."
Or, perhaps more often, sit on your 9th level slot all day in case you have to cast something you don't know with Wish.In my opinion, this version of wish is a hell of a lot more fun than casting an 8th level spell from the cleric spell list.
You know, unless the wizard is smart and plays the long game. . .The world wins. A bunch of 10th-level characters have plenty of means to locate and destroy the wizard. The wizard must anticipate and foil every single one of these attacks. One mistake--and everyone, even a 20th-level wizard, makes mistakes--spells death.
