Firbolg would probably need to be cgi, or have some very clever animatronics. But it could certainly look Groot if done well.
Um...what? What CGI?View attachment 132996
If they have a tabaxi in the group I'm sure there are probably some CGI experts from Cats looking for work. ;)
Jokes aside, the folks who did the makeup and cgi for Beast in X-Men did a lovely job, and could almost certainly do a tabaxi right.
I previously worked in marketing for a big videogame company (you know their name). I would be very surprised if this wasn't a conversation they've already had.
Okay. I work in autoparts, that doesn’t mean I know about food service. Customer service is customer service, so I know some, but I certainly try to leverage my work experience in one into acting like I know all about the other.
I'm basing this on the comic book industry's lack of interest or inability to coordinate new comic books with new movies based on those comics.
The comics do put out comics that tie in to what’s going on with the movies, though.

I can't think of when this has happened in the history of the MCU or the DCEU, other than some variant covers branded for the latest movie, and the occasional prequel comic.

Anyway, that's not really my point, which is that I'll believe in Hasbro's all-in, movie-branded D&D gaming product push when I see it.

I was making an apples to apples comparison. My work experience literally included these sorts of conversations with what we wanted of companies we were granting licenses to, based on a variety of factors.

Not sure when you became such an angry guy, but I hope whatever caused it gets resolved.

Chris Pine as a Dragonborn. BAM!

Okay... no. Probably not. Not likely to hide such a known actor behind makeup in a film that needs to do well. It is fun to think about, and he could probably pull it off.

Not the MCU because it has always been treated as a separate entity to the comics universe. There is no crossover between them. I don't know about the DCEU, but Warner Bros is probably doing something similar. Now, if you look at Star Wars, there are all sorts of comics for that franchise, showing the movies and what happens in between the movies, etc. For D&D, specifically the Realms, there are several comics out there by Jim Zub and I am sure there will at least be a comic book version of the movie by him.

And if Hasbro doesn't make toys based on the movie, I'll be extremely surprised (and dissapointed). And, of course, WotC will have some tie product(s).
