I loved, loved, loved the Tony DiTerlizzi art book from Dark Horse a few years ago. I don't know who I need to sleep with, but I want books like that for Erol Otus, Russ Nicholson and other classic fantasy artists. They will be gone one day and the chance to do these sorts of books properly will vanish with them.

I would vote for something substantial and forward looking like 5.5e or 6e. I dont see the point of cosmetic things like fancy dice or art books.

Following up on @Stormonu and the idea for a new "Silver Anniversary" box set.

I think this a great idea and a great opportunity. My take would be something like the following:

  • Special heavy duty slip case with 50th Anniversary design
  • 50th Anniversary art print (could be a new piece of art just for this kit, or a classic piece repackaged)
  • History of D&D booklet (not sure on length, 16 - 32 pages could work, but seems low if we add any art)
  • OD&D Blue Cover Rules reproduction (just like the Silver Anniversary set)
  • 5E D&D Basic Rules (print copy, special issue for this set only)
  • 6 classic modules (not sure which ones, I have some ideas, but only really short ones will fit)

I like the idea of dice, but not sure if they are best idea for a standing slipcase like I am imagining here.

Cheers :)

— Two new adventures, one 32 page, one 64 pages; the 32 page adventure takes characters on a whirlwind tour of Greyhawk, Forgotten Realms, Mystara and Eberron using Planescape to connect the four portions of the adventure. Big baddie at the end must be an iconic villain from D&D’s past. The 64 page book is full of 2-4 page ”Side Treks” written by contributors.

I like the idea that I've seen floating around in the past, of a Rod of Seven Parts mega-adventure where each part of the rod is hidden in a different campaign setting, with Miska the Wolf Spider as the end boss.

Did you ever attend GenCon when WotC (and before them TSR) had the big giant castle set up in the middle of the exhibit hall? It was a giant anchor point.
No, sadly. The first few times I went they had the castle - or bits of it - in a different hall; then later it went away entirely.

And this is exactly the sort of thing I think they should revive and expand on - greatly - for 2024.

Core book reprint with added materials and new artwork, publish a conversion of the "best D&D adventure" across editions after a poll of the fan community asking for what the consensus is through the WOTC website. Reprints, again, of the previous editions, including the Rules Cyclopedia. Reissue the original FR boxed set, the Greyhawk boxed set and also a new edition of Greyhawk including an attempt at an adventure in Castle Greyhawk as a sequel to Mona's Expedition to Castle Greyhawk and integrate some of the classic modules that were originally culled from that campaign.

6E,

or atleast heavy reprint of 5E into 5.5E. Like 600page PHB with all current races/feats/subclasses rebalanced to something aroung Tasha's power level.
