Star Trek Prodigy Main Title

The Star Trek Prodigy main title was recently released:

The main title didn't excite me at first, but it starts to grow on me.
It also gives us another look at the ship (USS Protostar, NX-76884. The NX designation suggets its still an experimental/prototype kind ship).
It's small, maneuverable, and seems to have some kind of new special warp drive mode (maybe Quantum Slipstream?). I think we knew about the size before, since a previous first look gave us a view of the bridge and how much place it takes in the saucer section.
The design overall reminds me a lot of an old Star Trek Online design, though that ship was much bigger. But nacelle shape, saucer shape, deflector... (Unfortunatel you don't really see those ship models much anymore, since they so far never got any visual upgrades to current standards of the game, and no upgrade to the new endgame tier ship either.)

This will be a Star Trek show for kids, but it's Star Trek, so I think I'll have some fun with it either way. Now I just have to wait until it's released internationally.

Starships aren't space fighters! They're big majestic navy cruisers, not X-wings. They don't zip about and loop the loop!

Starships don't go around the galaxy with underaged ragamuffin crew, either. We adjust for the genre.

Mmmm.... hard pass. Unless it's drastically different than what it appears to be, making something "for kids" doesn't mean ... this. But maybe I'm wrong.

Yes, they said that once, but did make course corrections at warp speed in other episodes. VOY is a beloved show, but it wasn't consistent.

I expect you'll find examples of course corrections at warp in every series. Warp speed is mostly for straight lines, but, you know, you don't slingshot around a star to time travel by flying in a straight line...
