I expect that they use race because the vast majority of players still use race. They aren't going to want to confuse people in the middle of a survey.
Also the term "race" still applies to the player options within a lineage, so they are using the term as intended.

what's your favorite "RACE" to play.....do they know they don't use that word anymore?

Both are wrong. In 5e so far, Lineages are things that you can be born as (like a race), but also something you can become. Custom Lineage, Dhampir, Reborn, and Hexblood are all things that you can become. Aarakocra, Tortles, Gnomes, and so on are all races, because they're all something that you're born as, while a Lineage is more a "mutation" that you can either be born with or get later in life.

Race is still used, as shown in The Wild Beyond the Witchlight's Fairy and Harengon races.

Sorry, didn't screenshot Homebrew, self-created. Options on there were reasonable taken from a DM-centric point of view, but didn't seem to be cognizant of the concept of player authoring in what they were asking.

Oh, and it kept asking me things like "what did you use to make your first character". Sorry, when the only option for Basic D&D was the box set and there was no character rules elsewhere, if you mix in "boxed set" with your current data you are going to poison it.
