The Coello cover is just fine by me, the Lubera one hurts my eyes, and I'd probably love the Momoko cover if it featured more than one character. I get that it's a (in part) probability-powered character on the cover of a game with randomization, but that's a little too cute. I like Momoko's art a lot, though.

Captain Marvel in the Lubera one is just all kinds of odd body shapes and dimensions and should never have made it past first draft. I mean, come on - her arms are completely separate from her shoulders!

I'm a fan of Peach Momoko, so I do appreciate her cover, but I also know that it isn't to everyone's taste. For a comic, a single character being the focal point is great. An RPG - nope. Have a broad selection of characters to appeal to the fanbase.

The Coello cover seems like the best choice, IMO.

I guess the 616 system will be easy to be learnt by players used to d20 system, but 616s will be not really a retroclone of d20. And this system is being designed also for future CRPGs.

I wouldn't be surprised if there is later a live-play show in Disney+, with teenagers working to be famous, and relatively low budget. And even a special of zombies, or the children of Midnight, in Halloween.

They will not lose money, at least not more than the bomb movies, because they will be bought by speculators to sell after to collectors. And this TTRPG is perfect for the fandom who loves to create their own fanfic, creating new characters, for example Captain America+Black Widow's children, or Ben Reilly as member of Future Fundation.

And what about the magic? I doubt it was a vacian system as d20 system. This is important for a campaing type Strange Academy.

If you have a 3D6 mechanic based on having positive/negative success dice and a D6 Effect dice (like In Nomine crossed with Feng Shui), then you could yield a 6-1-6 as the maximum result. That is:

(D6-D6) + D6 = 11 (max score)

The full range would be -4 to 11 if read this way, although the three dice could be read in different ways - simply having a success range of -5 to +5, with the effect dice being read separately, or having the highest success die minus the lowest success die, giving a range of 0-5 (plus effect dice rolled separately). You would need to ensure that the dice are all different colours.

Except the blurb seems to be saying roll 3d6 at the same time, and if you roll a two 6's and a 1, then something special is the result. I guess it could also mean that you roll the dice one at a time, and if the first one is a 6, the second a 1, and the third a 6, then you get the special result.

I find there are many similarities with the AGE system... which uses 3d6+attribute modifier, very much like D&D 5th edition (but with 3d6 instead of a d20). It also adds a stunt system that allows you to pull flashy effects when you get doubles, which could ressemble getting a 6 1 6.

Just speculating of course. But AGE is very simple and accessible which is what Marvel seems to be going for.

There is nothing in what I said that means you can’t roll all three dice at the same time. As I said, they could be colour coded.
