While reprinted, these races have all been updated to the current standard used by WotC for D&D races used in Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, including a free choice of ability score increases (increase one by 2 points and another by 1 point; or increase three by 1 point), and small races not suffering a movement speed penalty.

The video below from Nerd Immersion delves into the races in more detail.

Except all the discount retailers and online shopping sites. You can find brand new copies of these for $20. Amazon alone will have the brand new $50 books selling for $35 before it’s even released.
The Amazon price for the Core gift set is $87.17 right now. The Rules Expansion gift set will probably be available for ~$90 for those who want it soon enough. Still a deal.

Give it time. The Gift set will probably be cheaper on Amazon in time...just like the Core Set is now.

I don't see new copies of the books being sold via Amazon at $20, maybe a third party seller or two, but those normally come in very limited quantities from third party. Amazon does some large mark downs (I see $27 or there abouts for some of the books, not all), so your benefits may not be as large at Amazon as at other book sellers, but the benefit of a lower cost for all three is still there at most places and retailers.

So D&D races are the same family or genus. Or magic. Most of those listed in the wiki are such “startling” and “amazing” crossbreeding examples such as two kinds of rhino having a hybrid child or two kinds or horse. When a dog and a cat or a fish and a mammal produce a natural, fertile hybrid, then we’re talking.

Same family doesn't seem that close -- chimpanzees and humans are in the same "tribe" (the level between subfamily and genus). That's the same level as Bison and the Cow (although that is being reconsidered to genus). Bottlenose dolphin and false killer whale aren't even in the same subfamily and have fertile offspring.
