While reprinted, these races have all been updated to the current standard used by WotC for D&D races used in Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, including a free choice of ability score increases (increase one by 2 points and another by 1 point; or increase three by 1 point), and small races not suffering a movement speed penalty.

The video below from Nerd Immersion delves into the races in more detail.

except you are compairing a rewriten race with optional swaps... I love Tasha's I dislike this half step...

btw add Duergar don't get the Dwarven racial traits,
But they do get other new powers: Deep Gnomes, for example include the SCAG Feat into the base Race. The rewritten Raves and the original Raves can play together at the table, it's not incompatible.

Consistency is important to me, and I doubt I’m the only one. I want a consistent rule set. Is that really such a horrible thing to want?
The rules are consistent, but options like Race or Class are exceptions to the rules. 2 PCs of the same fluff Race don't need to use the same rules exceptions, as long as they are balanced.

It's almost as if different people find different things fun and we don't need to disparage what another enjoys even if we ourselves might not find it fun.
Which would be fine if it weren't the bludgeon used to keep me from having nice things.
yeah, some people think basic fighters are fun (they get there fun)
Some want more advanced fighters (like 4e of 3.5 bo9s) would be fun...

notice how different people find different things fun is almost always an excuse for why group a doesn't want group b to have fun...

go bak to the early 2000's and that is what they said about 3.0 and 3.5... notice what happened.
