D&D 5E What (if anything) do you find "wrong" with 5E?

Heh heh... do not ask questions Ye are not prepared to receive answers for... ;)

(It's merely an issue some of us didn't like between what the spell does within the game world and the game mechanic used for the spell. You can try and search some Barkskin threads from like 2015 that had us arguing with others about it if you're really that curious-- but believe me, it ain't worth anyone's time to bother to do so. I don't even worry about it anymore, seeing as how I've yet to have a single player of mine ever actually take the spell over these last 8 years, so my issues with it might as well not even exist.)
I had one once. Unfortunately they were a newbie who did not understand the mechanics involved & thought it would be good for her moon Druid. Unfortunately she was playing a moon Druid & ignoring the newbie bear was not an option so concentration was broken like one or two rounds into the fight. I don't think she ever recast it after that

edit: I'd rather just give moon druids barding & have it fold into hammerspace when in their base form like base form gear while wildshaped & avoid having to fix it for wotc:D.

The concentration thing was something I was all set to handwave away should it ever have come to that. Wizards didn't have concentration on Mage Armor, so Druids having it on Barkskin was silly to me. It was bad enough Barkskin only lasted an hour whereas Mage Armor lasted for 8... and now they could possibly lose it every time they got hit? Yeah, no thanks, LOL.

(I imagine it was probably for balance reasons they even did all that as they assumed people would use it prior to wildshaping and perhaps they already knew the Moon druid at low levels was on the strong end already and didn't need an 8 hour AC 16 in their animal form on top of it... but that was never really my concern.)

Of course mage armor being grabbable with a feat and lasting 8 hours never occurred to them...

Well at a glance the half dragon thing does have some really uncomfortable issues that come with any “half” race. As in what was the nature of you red dragon’s father and human mother’s relationship?
why is that any worse then what was the nature of your human mother and human father's relationship?

By making Dragonborn an actual species they avoid a lot of the ickiness factor.
why... now I have to wonder what teh nature of the relationship was between your dragonborn parents...
Additionally they avoid the very reasonable question of just how are you meeting significant numbers of half dragon people? There are actually enough half dragons out there to make towns? How does that work?

I don’t think we’re going to see too many half species in the game going forward.

I feel like the point is how... not dragony dragonborn are.

No wings, not tails, all stumpy in body structure instead of lithe and powerful like D&D dragons.

It's not all about boning dragons... usually. Sometimes it is about boning dragons. This is why there is a bard class.

Or that the balance wasn't so bad that if a player during playtesting blew their 1st or 4th level feat on Magical Adept it didn't cause enough issues that the designers felt they needed to worry about it? Who knows?

It's true, Dragonborn seem like lizardmen with breath weapons.
