I am all for playtesting some variation that isn't as powerful. I would much rather have feats that are less then this level of power
i did wonder how they might play out if instead of -prof/+double prof it basically just let you condense every attack you had into one (e.g. a level 11 fighter doing 6d6 damage with one greatsword attack instead of 2d6 damage with three) - the tradeoff essentially being only needing one attack to do all the weapon damage and more easily critting with your maximum weapon damage at the expense of potentially missing entirely and only being able to use attack riders (e.g. smite or ability modifiers) once.

i mean if nothing else it'd probably make more sense to replace ignoring the loading property with something akin to that.

I'd like to see a lot of the big combat feats moved to an expanded Fighting Style/Maneuver section. I'd also break them down into smaller parts: -Prof attack/x2 prof damage (1 for Melee/Thrown and 1 for Ranged), bonus action attack after crit or kill, ignore distance disadvantage, ignore cover, PAM bonus action attack, reaction attack drops speed to 0, opportunity attack when entering weapon range, etc. Fighters get the most (4-5 over 20 levels), Paladins and Rangers get a few (3?), Barbarians/Rogues/Monks get one or two, and add a feat that gives +1 Strength or Dexterity and a Style/Maneuver.

It would definitely make sense as a replacement for crossbow expert. It would be wildly inferior for virtually any weapon build, though. The game has way too many mechanics that make having multiple attacks superior to one attack.
