D&D Movie/TV D&D Movie Hit or Flop?

Oh, the estimates for the weekend just dropped.

Domestic #5 with 5.4m, a drop of less than 30%
International was a bit lower than I expected, but still brought it up to 96m (so just under 12m). The best international market is the UK, where eOne has distro rights and where eOne started as a company.

barely under 178m

EOne I believe started in Canada and its still head quartered in Toronto.

I don't have any insights for the hit/flop 'debate', nor any real opinion, but...

I finally have some free time coming up on Monday and had intended to go see the film then, only to discover that my cinema has two showings a day until Sunday, then one more showing on Thursday, and that's it. Looks like I'm going to be missing out. :(
I managed to find another near-ish cinema that had a showing I could attend, so I saw the film yesterday. There were a grand total of five people in the audience, but given that it was midday on a random Monday, that probably doesn't say anything useful! :)

Which is a shame given that both critics and audiences rated it fairly highly.

I agree, I would love to get more films with these characters though I have my doubts it will happen unless VOD and merchandise sales really pull through and bring in big money for Hasbro and Paramount.
