The best we really can hope for are some changes in di points (amount, recovery, and cost) and individual abilities, which is very possible and likely. But there was never a chance of structural overhaul.
You're probably right - but you never know. After all, they came back with a hugely improved rogue. So I have hope.

If people are satisfied with it, there won't be an overhaul, since it's clearly fine! Oh the other hand, if people are unsatisfied with it... there still won't be an overhaul, they'll just toss the whole thing away.

Such fun surveys these are.
That’s… why there are write-in comment fields. If you like the general idea of something but want to see it iterated on, vote satisfied (not very satisfied) and explain what kind of changes they would need to make to bump that up to very satisfied.

I feel like we are starting to see the thing round into shape. In this packet, clerics, paladins, rangers, and rogues feel pretty much done. Bards too, except I don't think College of Glamour will make the cut, and Dance might get down-tuned slightly. Druids basically just need the problem child, Moon, iterated on some more. Monks remain a question mark but there is progress on the sub-classes (well, two of them). Spells, equipment and so on are just getting tweaks at this stage.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
But it was kinda. It's the lowest DPS of any fighting class and for most of its abilities drain out of the same common pool of resources meaning if you use the cool defense abilities, you lose offense capacity and vice versa.

Now, I don't think it needs to be totaled, but I do feel it (and the warlock, and to a degree the sorcerer) will suffer the most from the "keep it compatible with 2014" design. Those classes need a little more love to bring them up to par and at best they will get bandaid fixes.

Mathematically, it's the same sort of resource pool as Paladins. As long as adequate Ahort Rests are available, and given a normal Adventure Day (which WotC isnmaking any changes to, which makes sense to me based on my experience), then the Monk is just fine.
