World of Warcraft, 2004–2007. So many mods. I still kinda miss it, but there sure as heck ain't no going back to those halcyon, (mostly) carefree days.

Yeah, first go around I wasted a ton of time with mods, during the 'Classic' run, I kept it very minimalist. Sign of my age and growing impatience with things taking too much of my time I think.

The last mod scripting I did, would likely have been NWN prestige classes.

I've installed mods in Skyrim that have dependencies four or five layers deep, each with their own compatibility patches, dependencies, and stability fixes.

This is why I have a specific "Never go back" policy when it comes to reacquiring friends I used to have years ago. It never ends well because I've moved on and evolved past whatever we had in common back then. Unlike with games and books, I can't just go, "Ehhh...nope." and toss them back on the shelf.

here's the great thing, unless someone REALLY stands out meaning i hung around them a lot or i see them on fb so i know what they look like, i don't remember them.
