If people would just follow Snarf and admit that the super thick Chicago stuff is Lasagna and follow their taste buds and admit the New York stuff was Greasy Card Board, then there wouldn't be any Pizza Wars! We could just enjoy the one true Pizza worthy of the name, the stuff named for Hawaii.
Don't forget Detroit Style!

That's actually a fascinating video. Not only does it offer a neat perspective on the place of spoken language comprehension in communication generally, but it also reveals a universal human truth: that sparklers make everything more amazing - even pineapple.
They did another video, with Polari, that's also pretty fascinating (and disturbing).

The best pizza is home made. You can make it exactly how you want.

Unless you have a wood burning pizza oven in your home, I would dispute that.

And lacking the time, tools and talent often means that that home made pizza is not actually exactly how one wants it.

Not directed at the wrong post just there…

That’s a tired strawman you have there. Be a shame if something happened to it.

Reminder

The Cannoli thread is for commenting on food qua food.

This thread is for commenting on food when it's not food.

I'm a skilled cook; I can make an amazing pizza from scratch. I have the pizza stone, I have the pizza peel, I have experience working in a pizzeria, I know what's up. I can go across town and buy all the finest ingredients--all the ingredients I want, none that I don't. I can make a chewy crust and a zesty sauce, I can heat up the whole house with a hot oven, and I can clean the dishes and kitchen afterward.

I can also click around on my phone for a few minutes. Then someone will bring me an acceptable pizza in a fraction of the time, along with a six-pack of beer and a salad, for about the same cost. And I won't have to do any dishes or cleaning.

So I can understand why 5th Edition D&D pizza delivery is the most popular choice. Flavor is an important consideration, but so are prep time, level of effort, skill, consistency, and approachability.
