To be fair, tv worked fine for decades without "showrunners" or even "head writers," The auteur status on the Marvel movies tend to be the directors, not the writers, so I could see why they might have gone the way they did with their Disney+ shows. Given the issues I've had with the D+ Marvel shows, maybe going to a showrunner model might help.

Sure...but most of their content ranges from C to B-. Hard to call them the GOAT when they haven't produced much stellar content, compared to an HBO, Prime, or Netflix. Their catalogue has some great stuff, but pales in comparison to Netflix.

For me, the "A" content made for D+ is Andor, Reservation Dogs, and Shadows.
I haven't been excited about HBO content since Dream On ended....

edit: A Joke. I enjoyed Titans. I just can't resist the urge to name-drop what might be the original meme comedy.

He'll flip ya...Flip ya for real...
Two things-

1. Netflix has won. Everyone else is fighting for second.

2. If someone, before this year started, had told me ... Suits is going to be THE streaming story of 2023, I would still be laughing now.

...and yet, here we are.
I said the same about Friends and then again with the Office. Cable's graveyard comes to life again on NF.

Paramount has some serious hits this month, South Park, Fraiser, NCIS reruns oddly (I think Jag/NCIS/CSI universe is a good bet for Paramount future, instead if trying to milk old movies like Grease for ideas).

Fraiser was especially good. Maybe better the the OG series.

I still think Star Trek Legacy is a good bet. They found a home for Star Trek: Prodigy on Netflix. I think that could be part of a broader deal that will include Star Trek Legacy, which is closer to what Netflix originally wanted I believe then Discovery ever was (and I say that as someone who enjoyed ST: Discovery).

I still don't know why Walmart hasn't purchased Paramount yet, as a answer to Amazon Prime.

Paramount is also going to be launching a new NCIS, NCIS: Sydney on the 17th i believe
