This is probably the healthiest thing. I’ve tried this as well, to varying degrees of success. I know I’m abrasive sometimes. I’m self aware enough to recognize when I’m no longer contributing anything positive to a conversation.

I read a book that was worth burning. The ideas in it were just so bad, they needed to be stopped. But it was a Christmas present, so I settled for throwing it across the room.
