D&D (2024) Check Out The 2025 Monster Manual Alternate Cover!

Originally previewed on Dexterto, here is the alternative cover for 2025's new Monster Manual, featuring a mind flayer! The alternate cover for the Dungeon Master's Guide featured the super goddess Lolth, and the Player's Handbook was a gold dragon drinking tea with an adventuring party.

The alternate covers were made by artists Wylie Beckert and Olena Richards.

I want all three in a gift set with a slip-cover depicting Tiamat.

The lack of Tiamat anywhere on these is certainly surprising. Still, there's the screen and probably a slip case still to go.

It's fine art, but definitely a different vibe than the first 2 alts. Those were more storybook whimsy; this is more, I don't know..movie poster pulpy?

I like to get the alt covers if only to support my game store, but these make that decision pretty easy.

pretty but that is all they are to me, I already have all the books from them as I stopped at 5th, which was full of issues more than earlier ones, other than 4th which was just trash. But if you're just starting by all means get them and in a year get them again and again and again.
