The term "Githyanki" as an alien race that otherwise have nothing to do with the D&D race was first used in a GRRM novel, Dying of the Light.

Charlie Stross, at the time a teenaged D&D fan but who would later go on to be a sci-fi novelist of his own renown (primarily the Laundry Files novels), took the name but little else when he submitted the Githyanki as monsters to the Fiend Folio. Stross is also responsible for the Slaad and a few other monsters IIRC.
That's a really cool piece of trivia. Thank you.

I wonder if the Eldarin, Astral Elves, and Shadar Kai Lineages for Elves will be added given the focus on Multiverse.

I'm curious if there are any new backgrounds and feats, hope so.

So Origins its Species, Background, and Feats, when you add in a general over view and that a lot.

I hope we get to see the new species art Tuesday too for each species.

UPDATE: a video so nice we had to post it thrice!

(We had to reupload AGAIN, so there's a new link. I have edited the first post to reflect this. None of the video's content has changed. You'll have to 'be notified' again. Thank you for your patience.)
Looks like y'all are going head to head with the new Nintendo Direct tomorrow.

Given the full schedule, when will you guys find the time to release the videos for Pharoh, When A Star Falls, and Lost The Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth? I mean Expedition to the Barrier Peaks, Beyond the Crystal Cave, and The Lost City all got a video?

Edit: BTW the Thread already hit 15 pages and the first video is still days away.
I'm making the assumption there will be a couple of multi-video days.

Who would win in a fight: a bunch of TTRPG nerds or Nintendo fans hoping for one (1) crumb of news about the Switch successor? It's anyone's guess!
My mother claims to be able to "watch" one show on the TV and another completely different show on her phone at the same time, all while also focusing on a third thing (work/cooking/her dogs/etc.), but I am very much the "one thing at a time" sort.

Luckily both will be available as VoDs after the fact.

I once found myself playing a game (one of the old gold box games where you could put combat on "auto"), watching TV and reading a book at the same time. After a bit though I realized how silly it was and turned off the TV.

I'm listening to the D&D stuff while I work, saving the Nintentodo stuff to share with my kids.
