Donnell, standing in the hallway, drops his backpack on the ground and unravels his blanket,

"I'll run in and disable the gong."

OOC: are the gongs on stands or hanging from the ceiling? How close are they together?

Doc knows a yellow belly when he sees 'em. Thar's them that are resigned to their fate, and those s'posin' they can still put it off for a time.

Doc grimly walks toward the two yellow bellies, hand close to the gun, and lets his mask slip a little, while allowing the sounds of the damned release just enough so they can hear 'em.

We're back. Big stoney told us to get the rest, and for you to skedaddle. We got this now.

OOC:
Doc uses minor illusion to create the faint sound of the souls screaming following him.
Allows his appearance to be seen.
Goes up to Bugbears and uses intimidate (with advantage, assumedly, if not, use first roll).

Intimidate is to to have us pass, and the bugbears to leave.

Intimidation: 1D20+8 = [13]+8 = 21

Intimidation (w. adv): 1D20+8 = [8]+8 = 16

Don't matter. Adds a little oomph. (past lives)
A little oomph: 1D6 = [1] = 1

22 intimidate.

"Y-you shud speak t'the Keeper!" said the bugbear guard while backing off as Doc approached. The bugbear indicated toward the northern doors before they both hustled off toward the south-eastern doors.

Donnell crossed the room, unfurling his blanket.

OOC: The two gongs are across from each other. I'll show you:

Key: 1) Gongs; 2) The Keeper's "office"; 3) Where the Bugbears are heading; 4) Toward the "dig site" (where the dwarves were working - there will still be orcs working there, under two stone giant overseers).

When the bugbears leave the room, Donnell wraps one in a blanket and cuts the ropes, lowering it to the ground carefully so it doesn't clatter on the ground.

He does the same for the second one but lays it on his bedroll

OOC: Disable Device or whatever it's called? Thieves tools to disable the gongs?
If you need a roll:
get it on to disable a gong so no-one will bang a gong: 1D20+7 = [3]+7 = 10

Seeing the squire proceed into the room, Kahru made sure to follow him. Silencing the gongs was a good idea, but the the guards might still react badly to the lad and his blanket, the barbarian was ready to dash in to defend him if required.

As the bugbears disappeared into a room to the south-east, Doc and Donnell took down the gong on the western wall. There was the sound of arguing in the goblin tongue where the bugbears had gone, and an armored bugbear stepped forth. He took one look at Donnell and Doc and yelled in the common tongue, "Whudder you doin'!? Stop dat!"

He was not far from the eastern gong, and he glanced over his shoulder at it.

OOC: No worries on the rolling, taking the gongs off their mounts and wrapping them in blankets ought to do the job. I can't see how that would fail, other than, I suppose, dropping them and making a big bang. You do it carefully and you're fine.
