Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Actually, it’s trending that way here in the USA. Some of the bone-in cuts I used to buy have been absent from grocery store shelves for at least a decade- it’s cheaper to ship meats without the bones, and because it’s been processed, they can charge more. IOW, a higher profitability per pound for those cuts.

Which also means that if I’m REALLY looking for bony cuts for certain dishes, I have to find alternative cuts. For instance, I used to use “7 steak”- a cheap, bony cut- for certain stews. Now I’m using chuck roasts or even oxtails (emwhich isn’t cheap at all).
I'm luck that the last few places I've lived at all had at least one good, old-school-style butcher shop nearby. I don't cook enough, and certainly not enough red meat, to buy much from them, but when you really need to find a cut that isn't available in a grocery store, it is nice when these places are still around. I could probably save money and eat healthier buying from a butcher and spending more time cooking. But I'm lazy. My wife likes to cook, but generally isn't into cooking steaks and ribs and things. The only meat that she bothers to get from specialty stores is very thin sliced pork and beef for Chinese hot pot. But she got tired of dealing with frozen sliced meat, too thickly sliced meat, or having to drive out of her way for one item, that we bought our own meat slicer.

So I take a brief hiatus, and ... what is this? Pork chops?

Also, I saw what some of you were up to. I know what you're thinking ... When the Snarf is away, the Bards will play. Well, let me learn you somethin' somethin'.

The internet doesn't forget. And the Snarf? Snarf doesn't forgive. I see what y'all been doing .... @MNblockhead ...

Anyway, I have learned some valuable lessons from this hiatus.

1. Travel, as always, is awesome. No one has ever died saying, "You know, I think I spent too much time on vacation traveling to cool places."

2. If you put Bards in charge of software updates, prepare to reap the whirlwind.

3. Finally, if you can manage to be pleasant and treat the people who are dealing with a terrible customer service situation like the humans that they are who did not cause the problem, they will often go out of their way to give you extras. Being stuck in a foreign country for a long time? Not great! But being put up in an amazing hotel with all the best free food, and lots of time to continue to explore and enjoy the place you're in? Could be a lot worse.

The minstrel in my WFRP campaign died in today's session. Now I come on ENworld and see that @Snarf Zagyg is back. Coincidence? I think not!

I'm the same. Actually, I think I'm pretty good at writing good descriptions. But on the fly--nope.
One of the keys, IME, is to make sure you make room for the players' interpretations of your descriptions. That is, say "yes" a lot, because chances are their mental image of the thing is a little different than yours. And in TotM combat, it really doesn't matter much.

"Can I take cover behind a pillar?"
"Yes."

"Can I get low and crawl to a good sniping position?"
"Yes."

"Can I charge at the minotaur?"
"Yes."

Just say "yes" a lot and it works.

You don't know my players.

In today's session (Warhammer Fantasy RPG 4th Edition) we had a discussion about whether if a wizard creates a familiar in the form of a worm, and cuts that worm in half, shouldn't you now have two familiars?

Today in one of my kids classes, we did a lesson on making pizza. This was the final, extension slide. The proper way to make pizza:

I mean, maybe your players are naughty words.
