Project Sigil Now You Can Watch WotC's 3D VTT 'Project Sigil' In Action!

D&D's 3D virtuial tabletop.
You can now watch the unveiling and demo of the upcoming 'Project Sigil' -- WotC's new 3D virtual tabletop -- as it was used during the official Dungeons & Dragons live event at Gen Con.

The event featured Aabria Iyengar as the Dungeon Master, Anjali Bhimani as Miri Yannen, Samantha Bèart as Karlach, Brennan Lee Mulligan as Dorbin Kragstone, and Neil Newbon as Astarion.

This is the first time the public has gotten a look at the software outside of small demos at previous conventions. The VTT demo is in the second half of the show.

UPDATE: THE VTT IS USED FROM 1:16 IN THE VIDEO!

Pretty sure movement is NOT restricted in combat, or even "you can only do this many things" as the DM is being generous right now....which works for me. I don't want that much "control".

You can see smoke or something moving on the map in the back. And liquid running under the grates. And fire moving on torches and stuff. Don't see a grid, assume you can turn that on/off?

What I learned:

It looks great.
Rules are definitely in there (no idea how much) and enforced (not sure how I feel about full automation, I fudge a lot)
Definitely see spells and breath weapons and attacks happen.
The maps have movement (fog, water, fire) in them.

Not sure we learned much that we didn't know/suspect at this point.
