I would like to say some crazy idea like a M.A.S.K.+Kaladesh mash-up to joke but now I haven't the best inspiration.

In the 5ed age WotC worries very much about the feedback, and if there are future sourcebooks with new crunch, this should appear previously in UA articles. Maybe a new test about the ardlings (the furry version of aasimars) and glitchlings.. (is it my imagination or has that got the face of an autobot?)

An updated version of artificer? Psionic mystic? That would need a lot of work and feedback, almost so much like a corebook. And mystic class also should mean the return of those species: maenads, xephs, elans, dromites, fraals? and the synads.

A possibility is an adventure, the return of the Athasian Tablelands(Dark Sun), but with a trick, "Vecna did it!". Athas (where the risk of collateral damage is lower) and the dark domain of Kalidnay become the batlefield between Vecna (who wants revenge), the Dark Powers and Tharizdun, the elder elemental eye (in my land we say "troubled waters, fishermen's gain") as third agent in conflict. The heroes in the end save the day, but because fault some time-travelers and paradoxes caused by this.. the Athas is divided into different timelines, one of them the original one, but now more like the afterline where sinner souls are reincarnated and others with a "softer" style.

A sourcebook about Eldraine?

I wonder if we'll ever see poor ol' Mystara. It seems to have been forgotten.
Just open it up on the guilds. It has a large fan base, it's arguably the most popular setting outside of the United States thanks to The Capcom games, Lodos Wars and the fact that it was the only TSR setting translated into other languages. I know they're not a fan of it because of the real world allegories but for a lot of people that's the best selling point. Plus who doesn't want to go back and save Aleena.

Do we know this, or is this just people trying to figure out why they'd sideline Mystara in favor of the Forgotten Realms? (Everything is sidelined in favor of the Forgotten Realms.)
I think it’s a reasonable inference from events of the last couple of years related to pushback against similar things coming from WotC and the companies policies. It’s not anything I think they would ever say aloud.
