Nah, I just want people to know that it is perfectly fine to use the feature, amd block put truly tedious, painful negativity.
Fair enough. Honestly, I wish this site didn't have this feature. It does more harm than good in my opinion. It's used as a passive-aggressive weapon more than in the way you're advocating from what I can see.

It's hard to see a person who disagrees with you. Doing so, though, helps you, them, and makes the world a better place. Blocking is an all too easy backdoor around what should be a learning and growing experience.

Eh, to a point. I find reducing negativity on my hobby, fun-time feed is very worth it, and I gained nothing by butting heads in the past. And I constantly see people begging unseen other to stop being so incessantly negative: but you don't have to beg, juat ignore it!

Lol... I do understand what you're saying, and who you are probably saying that about! I hope you understand my point, though, and why I choose to listen to all sides of an argument? I respect everyone and the right to their opinions. I sometimes find their opinions poorly thought out, and have no respect for someone not thinking through what they believe in. But even then, I still give those folks a shot to recover. No final judgements on a person. We all fumble sometimes.

But I get it... you're here to engage in your hobby, not fight the fight. All good, full respect. Just consider what I'm saying though... not a huge price to pay.

@gorice

Have you never had an overall plot in a D&D game?
Do you mean a game that had a narrative, or a game with a plot written beforehand? If the former, yes. If that latter, I've played in them but try to avoid them.

My complaint isn't just that I don't like prepared plots, though. It's that there is a fundamental tension between them and player agency, and telling people they can have both will lead to trouble.

really dumb question, where do I find these magical new rules? Like I don't actually know where the free basic dmg stuff is.
Here.

I will continue to apologize, but I seem to be missing something. I've seen some people post about the lore glossary updates and various things in this thread, but I am not seeing any kind of lore glossary in the free rules.
