There's a saying that there are three sides to every story: their side, your side, and the truth. But if even a tenth of what is alleged is true (and I have no reason to believe it isn't far more than that), that dude can get bent.

I'm not sure what it would be a metaphor for, but...has anyone tried smoked brisket pizza? Apparently it's all the rage in the (American) Midwest right now.

  • Hand-tossed crust (deep dish)
  • KC-style BBQ sauce
  • Colby-Jack cheese
  • Smoked chopped brisket
  • Dill pickle slices and coleslaw added after cooking/cutting.
Seems pretty simple. I think I'll cook one up this weekend and report back.

I haven't tried it--or even seen it--but it doesn't seem unpalatable to me (other than the coleslaw, which I find disgusting in any context). It actually seems as though it'd be pretty tasty, if not exactly what most people will think of as "pizza."

I have seen various forms of BBQ pizza around for decades.

If I were making the thing, I wouldn't use brisket, what with its tendency to dry out. Pulled chicken or pork, or some burnt ends, would seem a better choice. But whatever floats your boat.
