D&D (2024) What Licensed IP Do You Want For 5E?

I guess we could see something style D&D: Minecraft in D&D-Beyond.

I see a great difference between fantasy and modern-age franchises. For example the ghostbusters use modern technology but not firearms. They could appear in Ravenloft and the power balance shouldn't be broken easily. Kratos "Ghost of Sparta" literally has killed deities. What would be his power level? The famous ninja turtles could be adapted to 5e stats but Beepop and Rocksteady with firearms are a different thing.

Other point is what company would want its franchise to be adapted to D&D? The answer could be to earn brand power. For example "Dragon Quest" is an old videogame franchise but no so popular like Final Fantasy.

The monsters from the shooter videogames are designed to face an one-man-army althought they hadn't a powerful ranged attack. Some times those monsters are easier to be defeated when the heroe has got the right weapons. Let's remember in the first confrontation between Robocop and the ED-209 our dear Murphy bit the dust but later with a couple of shots other could be destroyed easily.

My theory is they are going to publish in the future a new edition of "Gamma World" and this will be introduced like a D&D spin-off. This new GW was to adapt sci-fi franchises style Overwatch, Doom, Fallout, Fortnite, Dead Space, Resident Evil, Buck Rogers..

What about a 5e adjacent RPG like Tales of the Valiant or Level Up? Same 5e feel, but better. ;) ;)

Any particular era within the Star Wars universe for 5e?

As for the OP's original question, I would like to see a 5e version of some anime series. Naruto, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Solo Leveling. The last one placing more focus on the world in that Urban Fantasy anime.
Ideally I would want a Star Wars RPG that allows for any era, or at least several popular ones. You can tag different parts as different eras. That said, like a lot of folks I think my favorite time frame is between Episodes 3 & 4, with the Mandolorian era up to 10 years or so past Return of the Jedi a close second.

Thinking back to Rune
I believe they tried this once back when DDB was owned by Fandom (or maybe Curse?) It was called Legends of Runeterra: Dark Tides of Bilgewater.

I remember reading it before it got yanked down for some license grievance. Had a little setting information and a short adventure too.
I'm aware of some unofficial or fan-made tabletop adaptations of the setting existing.

But I think it could fit with something more official with D&D 5e.

And watching Arcane, I see things like Jinx either being an Artillerist Artificer or some sort of Fighter subclass focused on using big guns, Jayce as a Battlesmith Artificer, Mel being an Abjuration Wizard, Vi could be a Monk (probably Open Hand) of some variety.

Would such a thing be more of the light-hearted tone that the League of Legends games has mostly been, or will it be the "Grimsical" tone of Arcane and the aesthetic that Fortische has depicted that world in?

Except that comic book superpowers almost always use a fundamentally different paradigm than "resource management."
Really? I can't count the number of times I've seen Spidey run out of web fluid or Superman needing to fly closer to the sun to recharge his powers. Even Batman or Tony Stark sometimes lose the aid of their gadgets and have to rely on their fists. You could even say the Hulk's anger is a resource to be managed.
