I have seen it. The actress is good, but the character just doesn't have the same pull. YMMV of course.

2) I thought before that they were just blacking out the bad guy in the trailer to keep his identity a secret, but now I'm thinking that's actually what he looks like since he says he's "the void" and there's tendrils of darkness and an actual void that Yelena enters and such.

Yep. In the comics The Void is the dark side and source of power of a hero called Sentry, who is a Superman cognate. Sentry is super-powerful, but there's a constant threat of the Void getting free.

This trailer made me get off the fence and decide that I do, in fact, want to see this movie in theatres if the reviews are strong. Definitely not an opening weekend film for me, unlike Fantastic Four.
