Yeah, I get that. I fell into a joint that is the right amount of serious effort, but not too serious that folks can still have a good time.I sing pretty damn well, but I generally avoid karaoke nights. Forget my own issues with introversion, I just hate (usually drunken) people butchering songs I love. The one karaoke night I remember enjoying was in Austin, back in the 1990s. Because it’s a major music business hub, there’s a lot of pro-level vocalists just everywhere, and a considerable number do karaoke.
